Hahaha.......i can imagine that ......even same happens at my house ........whenever the post man visits i never forget to offer him a cup of coffee .........I am even considering tracking the movement of his cycle using the GPS system ........

Lol all of sudden bell of his cycle has become more important than the horn of our bike or cars. Lol. Even I knew that my status is application received but with just the door bell and the word "postman", my mind started calculating the tentative and suitable dates for my flight to canada. Lol

Yeah!! What we can do is waiting for the big day and nothing else. I wonder how priorities has changed for me. This forum and e cas has become more importanr than facebook , rather than getting to know anything new from my friends, I keep on waiting for updates from forum members and postman has become like any superstar LOL LOL (not really) .!!
But seriously everyday starts with a new excitement and hopes and ends with new hopes for the next day very interesting phase of life

hi parthpatel204 and pt_052012,reading your comments..its been really long for you.did you guys pay full fee or chose to pay the landing fee later and has there been any document request /telephone interview?
and dont go by ecas, most of the people i have spoken to say...that practical time line and ecas status dont ever match

Hi Nick My wife got a call from ND to pay landing fees and I just paid landig fees last week and sent te receipt to ND email.
They never replied back besides auto reply email.
Ideally they do reply saying tht the enquiry has been processed to specific dept.
I GOT THIS REPLY PREVIOUSLY WHEN I SENT APPLICATION FEE RECEIPT BUT NOT THIS TIME WHN I ACTUALLY SENT WHAT THEY WANTED.
Super Confused I am right now!!!!?????!!!!!

Aprroval n FILE TRAN: ND July 10/12
PPR On Aug 1/12
THey sent a letter to my wife's name at my canadian adress On Sept 24/12 stating that i'vent submitted a form which is IMM5540 (sponsor questionairs) However I did submitted that with my originals doc's when I 1st applied.. so I refilled the IM5540 N sent it to ND through courier. They shoud've sent the letter to my wife's address in India Which They Did'nt. I HAVE NO IDEA WHY?? NO 2.. They shoud've updated the resubmission of a FORM on Estatus WHICH THEY ALSO DID'NT . So I did what i thought was right I emailed the cic n told them abt the situation.. N requested to sent any further doc's to my indian add.. NOW I want to know the moral of the story !! ARe there chances of an interview If their were Chances then WHY DID'NT They sent a Interview letter and asked my wife to bring IM5540 along??? Is It a set back Tottaly confused frnd's.. Need some serious Advice PLLz....

I don't think that they will acknowledge your email.
They communicate on a need to do basis ,just because of the volume.I would say,wait it out and you will have good news soon!!
If there was hitch or they need something they will call

Sometimes : No News is good news...(as long as the outcome is good)

They usually do not reply for acknowledgements. Don't worry you will hear from them. And don't write too many mails. Oct 12th was just last friday, only 3 working days have passed since then. My time line is similar to yours. Only they called me for passport on 10 Oct. All the best.

My wife received an email for face to face interview next month. They have asked for my phone number and said that they'll call me too at the same time.

In my case:
We had a big engagement party with 200 people in january.
Next week we married in temple with few family members(not all). This is required to register marriage quickly.
We registered it in court next day. (without temple marriage, wait time is 1.5 months). I left for Canada next week.
I filed for her immigration from here. Big application packet included 100 photos and all detailed information.
My actual wedding is scheduled in december alongwith reception. Interview is in November end.

I have zero confidence on the intelligence of north americans.
How serious do you guys think this is? Can they actually reject on this basis?

but i think just wait is the only thing we can tell each other for now.
