How does CIC contact the applicant for an interview or for more documents? We had a change of address and phone number since sending the application, but are unsure if this has been updated on our file yet. We wrote our emails down, so all of our correspondence should be this way?

they used to send emails and mails for interview or docs request but now they go for phone call.

Saw the decision made this morning!
Yay! finally after all the problems we had we got the dreaded DM .

PS - THe address in ecas (for the applicant) still shows indian address and has not yet changed to the canadian address.

Congratsssss.... Mine is saying in process since 26th sept... Hope to see DM soon...

how long does it usually take for the passport to be mailed back to you? Any one from Punjab got theirs back lately?

Hey Mandeep, normally it takes 3-5 days depending upon your location.

Congrats to all the DM and In process
I wish all the pending applicants from FEB to APRIL to get in process and DM soon
APrilliants always had hard time whether it was Sponsership approval or In Process or Decision made Status
Really feel bad and dont know wat r CIC upto
god please help all of us and hope v reunite with r loved ones soon

Just checked my ECAS and it showed Decision Madeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...but addres is still Same does it matters please advise

So happy my wife will be with me very sooonnnn before my birthday.

I wish all the people for Speedy DM specially who are waiting since long time

Good News!! I checked my ecas today and it shows "in process" on 26th SEPT 2012.

I have a little strange question. Supposed, I get called to an interview and something comes up. Is it ok to tell CIC visa officer that I am discussing information about my file on this forum. I basically want to know if it is in any way illegal to be discussing our cases on a forum?

I am asking this because recently I discussed a question on application and I sent in the corrected form after discussion here as well as by calling CIC. SO incase the visa officer asks why you took so long to make this correction, will it affect my case, if I mention to him/her that I got the info from here?
