(I had written this in response to a fellow member's PM and thought it MAY be beneficial to other so putting it in a post...
)
Absolutely - I came across this forum a little too late but was grateful that I did.
Yes, that is true - confidence and supportive documentation are key. Also, please convey to your wife to be calm and collected.
I will share the same instructions I gave to my wife.
(General disclaimer - these are just general thoughts/recommendations...)
Create a separate file for all your supportive documentation. Put dividers/tabs with labels to differentiate and keep separate each type of document (for example 1 tab labelled call history, 2nd tab labelled SMS history, etc.).
If you have lose pictures (in addition to your marriage album) have them sequentially sorted and grouped in an envelope - for example in our case I went to see my wife for about a month and we went on a few outings with family, religious places, etc. and I had my wife sort/group them in ascending order of my days there so that it portrays a timeline and is easier to communicate to the VO.
Since you too went to see your wife please send your wife a copy of your ticket and scan (to print) the pages of your passport documenting your arrival and departure stamps in India. IF you have, also scan and send the boarding passes (to print) to her, but passport pages are a strong recommendation.
Also, as mentioned here many times - phone records, chat history, message history, etc. - I had my wife organize it in ascending order.
Sure - send me your questions when you are ready, I will respond as best and as early as I can.
Also - I had my wife sort/group/organize all our supporting documentation because 1) it is easier for the VO to understand/follow, 2) it is easier for you (or your spouse - who ever is attending the interview) to guide the VO through, 3) I am slightly OCD...lol. But jokes aside overall it puts forward a good impression, gives you the confidence to walk the VO through and makes the interview experience better.
