Shouldn't be a problem. Only if you have a contagious disease, eg Tuberculosis, will they take extra precautions.

i have a question,How many days will it take to receive the pp back ??and thro which courier/indian post.??

Depends on which city in India you are at. Also depends on when they mail the PP out to you, which we will never know.

Visa issue date is the date on your visa in the passport. Decision made date is the date you see a change in your online ECAS status. They may or may not be the same.

The stamping will be before or on the same day you see the online change.

family application
received oct/12
sponsorship passed dec/12
still within processing time
background checks not started and meds to expire sept 13
eligibility is required to be reviewed by visa officer...
must still determine the eligibility of applicant...if they qualify under family class
follow up ¾ if no news

So more waitinggggggggg....!!!!!!!!!!! Most likey will do gcms notes tonight..

Ppl who have gotten dm and pp back recently, did you get any other confirmation of permanent residence letter along with it( 2 copies-- one client, one for CIC). Where are we to submit the CIC copy?

We saw DM on August 19th and he got his passport back on August 22nd. he lives in Hyderabad and it arrived by speed post. His visa issue date was August 14th, so I think the DM is more around the time they send the passport. You should get your passport back this week sometime. Or have you already received it?

Wow!!! No PPR yet for an October 2012 applicant??? this is crazy...Here I am, I submitted my application in May 2013 and no PPR yet and I ordered GCMS last week...wondering why you waited this long...

Agreed! I would have ordered GCMS notes within 6 months especially if no PPR yet. Many people here who have not received PPR found out once they ordered GCMS notes that they actually missed their PPR email/letter or they didn't get it.

My file was very messed.up.....i havent missed the ppr it was just my luck that my file got delayed many 2012 applicants are still waiting for visa or dm.... Or pp...there are lots 2013 applicants who r getting visa and we r the ones left benhied howwww saddd

Finally got email from cic stating that my permanent visa is issued and they need passport to finalize the process...!!

Good news today ...
hi all, good and a positive news. Finally the big, long waiting game is over. i received my passport yesterday with visa. Ppl who are waiting for your visa will get it soon esp.2012& jan2013 & feb2013 applicants. Dont worry.Stay positive with hope and faith in god.

I would like to thank david cohen for starting CiF& everyone who made me stay positive throughout this tough & hard journey. Thanks again, everyone here answered all my queries in a quick& positive manner.
