initial review means, your VO is confirming that your relationship is true and your intention to move to canada is to be with your spouse nothing else. if VO is convinced with details provided in application and supporting docs, he will forward your file for checks. after initial review, they need to check your backgrounds in each country, where you lived and worked after 18. they need to do security check on all applicants to check criminal records. before they issue your visa, they need to confirm that your are admissible to Canada.
CIC does not conduct these checks on its own but sends your information to outside agencies (CSIS and CBSA) these companies have their branches or contacts with other overseas agencies all over the world. ??? CIC has no hold on these agencies, they take there time for these checks and CIC waits for their reply for further processing. if you want, you can contact CSIS and they will reply within 30 days.
if your case is simple and straight forward, you dont need to worry about anything, you will get your visa soon

Today when I logged in on e-cas. Two addresses were shown .

Current home address: It is Canada's address, but it doesn't show the entire address. It just shows city, province and country.
Is that normal ?

Mailing address : It is India's address.

Shouldn't it show the complete canada's current home address ?

don't worry they send same email to all MP MINE Also got same response that file is still in queue for inital review it been a 2 months that NDVO got my file and ON 21 AUGUST it is gona 2 months that they have my passport so don't worry they are just giving false reply .

was current home address showing Indian address or same as mailing address until today or something?

Change in the home address to Canadian address is usually a precursor to DM, congrats!!

Do not be concerned about not showing complete address, that's normal when they do DM

Till yesterday, it was just showing mailing address which is Indian address.

Today when I logged in, it showed two addresses, current home address which is Canada's address and mailing address which is Indian address.

how did you receive the passport request. did they send you an email? does the passport request status shows in ecas also? can you pls let me know.

I send my application on may 31st
sponsorship approval july 24th

waiting for the passport request

I haven't received my PPR yet.... still waiting.... mostly they send PPR by email..... PPR doesn't get updated on ecas....
You should receive ur soon..... normally people haven been getting in 15 - 20 days average after file transfer to delhi

24 days here, and people whose file got transfer around our time are starting to get PPR now, so maybe next week we should be getting some good news...
