New Delhi - 2012 applicants

Dear Learned Members,
File for my wife was moved to Delhi consulate in the month of July - 2012. They immediately asked for passport and since than it is with them. Some time in the month of April - 2013 Status updated to "In Process" and they asked for updated Medical and Police verification. We submitted promptly all the documents and status confirms Documents received. But since last week of April status is still same "In Process". Please can any one share some views about this. Is it a sign that she will be called for interview or other kind of trouble.

Can you please describe your case? Do you have lots of travel history? second marriage? missed any imp docs? marraige done with full ceremony? Why did they take soo long?

Thanks for responding to my question. No my spouse has no travel history or our case is not a second marriage case. It is a simple first marriage case. We have no idea why they are talking so long. We have submitted our passport on 31st of July-2012 and resubmit the medical and Police verification on 17th April - 2013 but still no news yet.

Service withdrawals continue this week in Dublin, London, Paris, Canada's Mission to the European Union in Brussels, Tel Aviv, Ramallah, Delhi, Chandigarh, Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai and at dozens of headquarters units. In addition, all Foreign Service immigration officers in Mexico City began withholding services today, which will severely reduce the pace and volume of temporary and permanent resident application processing, already plagued by enormous backlogs due to earlier rounds of job action. All told, approximately 200 diplomats were withholding their services at time of release, with others to follow in the days ahead.

What about us waiting all through the year..where can we walk out to ??? :'( :'(

The Professional Association of Foreign Service Officers (PAFSO) union is currently taking strike action. PAFSO union members responsible for processing visa applications have been walking out of offices in Canada and overseas.

Posted processing times for both temporary and permanent resident visa applications do not take into account work stoppages.

Anyone applying for a visa should anticipate delays and submit their application as far in advance as possible.

Contingency plans are already in place to ensure all offices remain open and are providing at least a minimum level of service. Priority will be placed on urgent humanitarian applications.

CIC continues to closely monitor the situation.

Eventhough its hard for many of us who applied last year and still havent receive passport.

Some people from this year got there passport which is good for them but its dissapointing for us..

Don't worry....once file in process it is not a sign of calling an interview.. more over if they asked for remdical and PCC that mean your file is already on final stage......so just wait n watch...you will get your DM soon.....if this PAFSO does not effect ......

It's good that some people who applied this year got their passports. But, first they should return (2012) applicants passports and then move on with this year applications.
Its very disappointing that we are checking E-cas everyday and waiting, and every week come and passes and still we don't hear anything..

We are only one both apart and passport request is on the same month.

They should deff work on 2012 applicants first. I really dont know how it works but its sad.

September is going to be our first year anniversary and planning to go away together but I am just loosing my hope..We been apart for 8 months now and its sad..


What is your ecas showing??? application recevied?? Mine shows only application recevied.

They sent me a letter last month to send my complete divorce petition and timeframe we lived together after marraige as soon as possible. Which is stupid because i even sent them my plane tickets.. Well i sent them everything they needed hoping we will get our passport soon but nothing as of yet


Do you think it will take more then 10 months?? The processing time is 10 months..

Ya! I have been reading this forum a lot recently and you are right it's actually 2 of us and their is one more guy waiting. He also submitted his passport on March 3rd, 2013.
I completely agree with you they should work on (2012) applicants before moving to (2013) applicants. I am really happy for others who received their passports but still NDVO working system is stupid.
Don't worry dear you will receive your passport before September and you guys will have blasting 1st wedding anniversary. Don't lose hopes.. Reeyan, they are suppose to finish up everything within (10) months, it can only take longer then 10 months if they thing something is fishy in the application. But, as you already submitted everything then it shouldn't. I know some politician's here in Ontario and I have talked with them and according to them everything should be completed before July 2013 ends.

Well, my E-case shows: In Process and when I click on it shows:
We started processing your application on March, 2013.
Medical results have been received.

My Canadian side E-Cas shows Decision Made and it's completed. I am just waiting from the Indian side now.
