Hi friends..

I have already completed my IELTS sometime during 2008 and my score was 7.5

I have also submitted a copy of it with our application.

Do i have to sit for the IELTS again before travelling? or the old IELTS marks are just enough ?

is that mandatory that we should complete IELTS?

share your thoughts..

Hello Everyone,

My wife got her PPR email today July 06. 2012. Can someone please update the spreadsheet? Thanks.

Here is a posting I made on the Feb 2012 forum and the answers I am seeking. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Good Friday Morning Everyone,

My wife got her PPR email today from New Delhi VO. I was starting to get worried as it had been 6 weeks from the date of the approval/file transfer. The PPR letter (attached PDF to the email) is dated June 18, 2012 but it was received by us only today.

Does anyone know how long the PCC is valid for? My wife's Indian PCC was granted in 3rd week of January 2012 - almost 6 months now. I am not sure if we have to get a new PCC and attach it to the passport?

Also, I have paid her PR fee along with the sponsorship fee at the time of application. Is it recommended to attach a photocopy of that receipt at the time of submitting the passport?

Thanks.

As long as the PP was requested before the expiry date of your PCC which is VALID of 6 MONTHS you should be ok hoping they wnt ask for it again....

In regards to your fee it is not recommended to attach your receipt but its always good to attach a copy of it, makes life easier for the VISA officer.

Thanks, Sumitd. That's what I meant too to attach a photocopy of the payment receipt.

Now, PPR was dated June 18 but received it on July 06. Which date should I consider to complete the 6 month period for PCC expiry? I have to check the photocopy I made of the original PCC to find the exact date it but I think either date (June 18 or July 06) should still fall under 6 months. But, I am still curious how they would calculate it.

To be Honest with you...

You never know they might request for a new PCC. your timeline is very tight and they will consider the day you send back the passport and if at that point they think that PCC should be re issued they will send you a new letter saying need PCC, then you ll go hunt for PCC and then send it back to them and waste couple of weeks or more...

Just get the new PCC and send it out with the passport...thats what my wife is doing....i know its a pain to get a PCC in india but just to play safe i will get it done..

Thanks again, Sumit. That was my thought too... Why to take a chance and waste another 2-3 weeks of wait time if they decide to come back with another PCC request. I will probably ask my wife to get a new one and submit it, along with a copy of the fee payment receipt and the passport.
