They require sign-ups for commenting and other features. One can visit this site and read and access an enormous amount of information without signing up. When I looked at your thing, you could not look at anything at all and get a sense of whether it is useful or interesting without signing up.

Has that changed?

Be it any website or be it this new app, for me personally, signing up becomes an option only when looking at "inconvenience cost" (of signing up) vs. benefits there is a clear cut. Here (1) we cannot assess benefits unless we sign up already and (2) should we be able to assess upfront, I do not expect the extra benefits vs the google sheet already available to be a game changer - it would be most probably a benefit at the margin in best case. Just my 2 cents. Good luck anyway.
