HI,

I applied for PR in Jan 2013 under CEC. I received my RPRF on January 14, 2014 but have not received Medical till date. In the mean time I also requested for GMCS notes and today i got the report which says Medical was issued to me in October 2013. but i did not receive it.

What are my options now. How can I request Medical now.

Please help.

Why don't you send an email stating it says medical request has been issued according to GCMS notes but you haven't received the request? I think that's the best you can do.

Landed yesterday in Prescott, by land. Extremely rude CBSA officer did his best to make me feel very unwelcomed. The -32C Weather today too.

I have a quick question. Do I have to wait for the PR card before travelling? My guess is that I am on their files now, so I should be free to travel anytime, but I am not completely sure about this. Any insight into this matter would be appreciated.

Best!

Yes you need PR card if you are travelling anywhere outside canada by Flight. You can go to US and come back by road using the CoPR doc.
Airlines does not consider CoPR as a valid document. I wonder why the CBSA officer did not mention this to you. He should..

I agree. The officer should've brought that to your attention.

Thanks for the reply. I have already emailed at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca and faxed as well on 613-946-6059. Can you please confirm if this is Ok. Is there any other contact details please let me know.

That's all you can do. You can also call the hotline and check with them, but those two means of communication direct
every incoming document to CPC.

Can you please provide me with the hotline details. Really appreciate your help.

the staff was absolutely incorrect!
I went 2 days after my landing and got a new, permanent SIN without any problem.

Thanks guys,

I went to the Service canada again today. The staff was incorrect. They gave me a new SIN.

Thanks for the guidance.

Hello,
quick question: I have just received my COPR. I have been recommended to do the landing asap. But I am overseas now, and would like to land in a few months, in July-August (the deadline in December). Do you think that can be a problem?

If the deadline is in December, there would not be any problem with landing around July or August.

Hello, I am wondering if anyone can tell me if it is necessary to take bank statements when you complete landing process, and if so, what is the minimum bank balance to show?
Thanks!

Just to give you all a brief on what has changed in CEC stream (02 Jan 2013 vs. 31 Dec 2012)

1) One needs to have 12 months of full-time (or an equal amount in part-time) skilled work experience in Canada in the three years before you apply.
2) If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC 0 or A job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 7 in either English or French for all four language abilities.
3) If you gained your skilled work experience in Canada in a NOC B job, you must meet the minimum level of CLB 5 in either English or French for all four language abilities.
4) Document Checklist IMM 5610 has changed
5) Document IMM 0008 Schedule 8 has changed
6) Processing fee can now also be paid upfront (online). If you are not found eligible, processing fee will be refunded.

Hi Andy,

Do you have the link for the new forms? I am not sure if the one that I have is the newest one. I got it from CIC.GC.Ca website. Just want to double check

Thank you
