hi all

I landed this morning at YYZ - it was 6.30am and immigration was empty - walked straight through.
I was questioned on my BOWP application which was rejected. the officer also had some issues changing my marital status but we got there in the end and it was more because she didn't want to write on the paper, she wanted to change it on the system itself.
anyway - its all done now - just got to get the new SIN now!

They saw in the system and asked you about a rejected BOWP application?? Can you please let us know what exactly happened and if it was a real problem?

Hello all.

Long time no hear.

I thought I would give you some juicy news regarding my application. Last I hear from CIC was back on November 29th, as I received my MR.

I did my medicals on December 3rd, 2013. The Clinic sent them to CIC on December 17th, 2013.

Today, I received from CIC a "REMINDER" for Medical Examinations. Apparently, they have NOT received my exams yet. Off course, the email continues with the usual, "if you do not give the documents by then you may be rejected etc..."

It's funny how you may get "rejected" even if you are the "perfect applicant" that follows the "all the required CIC rules"...

I think the worse part here is that there's nothing I can do. The Clinic already told me trice that the Exams have been submitted a long while ago, so now it's all in the hand of someone who may have forgotten to push a certain button? Are my results lost in the Cyberspace?

How exciting this CIC journey has been so far...(Sarcasm)

I will keep you posted >:(

Hi, have you scanned them the medical confirmation that dr. gave you? If not scan them a copy so that they know that you have done your part.

Same thing happened to me. Did medicals on Dec 2, panel physician said it was uploaded on Dec 7. Kept on waiting didn't hear anything. Then scanned them the emedical confirmation on Dec 24, and called cic call center after a week to check, guess what my medical was received on Dec 28. Then again didn't hear anything for almost a month sent them an email on Jan 24 stating that it has almost been 2 months after my medicals and have not heard anything yet. Received an email next morning saying no action req from my end and 3 days after got my PPR.

Thank you for sharing your situation. Now, you got the passport request, right? Did you get the passport request with the ECAS status "in process" ?
Yes, still my ECAS say "in process"

I was asked why an open work permit was rejected - I said I applied under ob485a and that I had more than 4 months left on my permit so was rejected.
Not a real problem but the officer didn't seem to be aware of BOWP so it took a bit of explaining.

My ECAS changed to decision made. Yesterday I sent my passport to CIC.
