My application was declined. Not enough experience matching NOC requirements. :( Did not foresee this.

To make matters worse, got the news while my Canadian fiance is here visiting me here in Australia.

Any idea how long a spousal visa takes to acquire and how long you need to be married for?

sorry to hear about your rejection Teebonemendez,

as for spousal visa you can apply as soon as you get married and have enough supporting documents to prove it,there is no wait time.
processing times for spousal visa varies depends on visa offices,so you have to check processing time for visa office responsaple for your country of residence or citizenship.
please note that spousal visa has two steps, the first step is your canadian fiancee has to apply for approval at the CPC-missisauga,ontario.

good luck

I just analyzed our thread. NotreDame and star2013 got PPR on November 4th, They both had their MR in Oct and completed their meds in october itself. Bahadur on Nov 8th (upfront medical).

No PPRs since then (atleast in this thread) !

I think we may continue to see RPRF and MRs coming through mid December until all Jan applications are exhausted (I really hope Jan 14th folks get soon ).

Eds, did you get any more feedback on possible CIC shutdown time over the holidays? Any solid indication that more PPR/CoPR's won't be coming until the new year? Oh I hope that is NOT the case :'(

tracker updated

congrats to those who heard from cic today

Nope. I checked few threads that were active prior to December 2012. I could see only a couple of updates during the holiday period.

Anyways, looks like my employer is firm about the decision of sending me back to home country. I have applied for bowp. Not sure if things will work in my favour. You've waited for a long time now. I hope you get ppr soon ! At least before the holidays.

Oh My Gosh! Why would they send you back if you applied for BOWP? You would have implied status until the app is processed, and hopefully the CEC will be done very soon..... Can you stay while waiting for BOWP approval and then just go work somewhere else while waiting or CEC to finish processing?

I hope things work out for you, the way that you want. CIC fails to realize that we are not papers and documents on a checklist; we are people, families, whose ENTIRE lives hang in the balance.... waiting.... My 17 year old son told me the other day he will kill himself if we have to leave Canada (I think it was a lot of emotion talking, but painful for a mother to hear none the less).....

I'm not a highly religious person but do lots and lots of praying these days, I will say one for you and your family :) And All my new friends/supporters on this great forum that are still waiting....

My employer normally extends my closed work permit every year. This year, they are not planning to extend. They want me to go back to continue working for them in my home country. I applied for bowp on my own.

I'm applying for jobs, but all employers refuse to give interviews after they hear that I'm not PR. I even told few employers that I got MR - they just say call us back after you get pr. Bowp won't do any difference I guess.

I hope you and your family get ppr soon !

Hey friend

Maybe it's just time for a break, your COPR should come very soon.
If you have some cash saved just take some time off, you must be only 4 weeks away from landing any way eh?

Thanks Jsm :)

I should first get my ppr as I'm not from exempt country. I hope it comes soon.

Meh I've got a couple months, but don't worry. As I see it you can't go wrong, even if you had to leave the company I'm sure you can hold off until ppr, you'll be fine
