Hi wchlin81,

did you actually get RPRF request in email? The email usually has words like "processing of your application is almost complete".

Hi

I got a letter with a forms receipt and I just paid the fee.

I wasn't even sure of that's right.

But I thought at the CIO they would have checked all my docs and pass my case because I met criteria.

Anyways I wrote to the officer. English is the only language I ever know so I have no idea how I couldn't qualify.

Will keep you all posted. Thanks.

Got biodata and RPRF today!! Did upfront medicals and never got an email just bypassed and received biodata and RPRF.

Here is my timeline;

App received: Jan 8
AOR: Feb 18
Upfront Medical: Jun 18
RPRF & Biodata: 22 Oct

My status still says app received

Good Luck Everyone!

im so sorry to hear what happened :(

If I had sent updated reference letter to cic and I see that it is added in my application based on my gcms, do you see any risk of visa officer not actually considering it? The updated letter had roles and responsibilities whereas the one sent along with app didn't have. Rest of the content was same as before.

Really nervous now as days pass by with no update from cic.

You did everything you can from your end.
Rest is luck.
A nice VO would probably consider it.

Congrats to those who have done it.

I'm now going to assess whether it is possible to appeal.

I'm only 0.5 score shy from ONE category. And I'm English :'(

Sorry to say but appealing wont work - same treatment for everyone.

I'm from uk and also dyslexic. Your only hope in this resprct is to speak to ielts beforehand for special help. However, you will need a dyslexia assessment beforehand - which will delay the process for you.

Best bet is to start hard practicing and get another apt booked.

Sorry advice isn't more favorable for you but it's the reality.

If you go down the dyslexia route, have it diagnosed by a professional. Without a diagnosis I don't
see any chance of getting your PR approved, as your language results are not sufficient.
However, same counts for medicals, if you have a serious condition CIC can reject the application.

What's happening with our files at Ottawa?

Its been almost 5 days since any of us got MR. No new MRs for dec, feb and march. Unless, those who got MR are not in the forum.

Also, I guess it does matter if you are from a visa exempt country - I see most people who got rprf are from visa exempt countries.

Even with this cic will not change there mind. The language requirment is set in stone the same way skilled work experience, hours and medicals are. Appeals are for when cic has made an error, they haven't.
