New CEC - Jan 2013 Applications

Hi guys

I wasnt going to send my NOA 2012 until requested but a lot of ppl have told me that I should add it to my file just to be safe.
So I have decided to send it to cic BUT I only have a copy of it on the phone, not scanned.
If I include the version from CRA website, do you think it would be enough?
I can get the scanned copy in mid September, then should I wait until I have those proper copies?
Or is it okay to just send it now with the pic of NOA (taken on the phone but taken well enough to see the words) AND web version of NOA?
(Well, I could also make it black and white to make it seem more like a scanned copy.)

Hello,

Any Jan 2013 applicants have their application in Progress in ecas?

I'm really not sure in what order CIC processes applications. Based on trackitt tracker, I see some people getting medical request quite early than others.

What are the factors that affect processing time? Does NOC and location matter?

If anyone has any idea, please share.

even people from June are still waiting..

I would say they are still processing the application received before December 2012.

and just few of applications after December.

I hate the strike
Everything has been delayed since the strike started.
I am planning on going back to school in Sept and was hoping to pay domestic fee (tuition) rather than international.
I just had to have it done by November 1 and it seemed quite possible considering my friend who applied in March got hers in October
But at this rate? I don't know when we'll be getting our MR
And not only I have to pay the international fee (which is like the triple of the domestic fee), my study permit is being delayed too!!!!!!!!!
I almost thought I wouldn't even need my study permit if all went smooth but now *sigh* I am just hoping to get my study permit in time (before school starts...)

Agree with you HY325.
If all was in order, Jan 2013 applicants must have started receiving MR's by now. If this strike status and snail pace processing at Ottawa continues, don't see any MR even in Aug or mid Sep.

I have a query about applying for gcms notes. Basically, which mailing address and email address should be mentioned in there, should it be the same as mentioned in PR application. In the PR application the correspondence address is mentioned as my company lawyer's address and also his email address but i want now for myself to recieve the information. Please advise.

I just put in all my details - not my lawyer's (which is on my application). Didnt have any issue with my receipt of gcms notes

Agree with you Andy. They are yet to start December apps, and plus they have leftovers from all previous months - those applications that require additional review. So, I think you are right not to expect anything till September. I was gonna say for February apps (me) that its probably unlikely to hear back until October or November even. This strike (impact) is a load of bollocks!!

Hi Guys..
I am trying to apply for Open Work permit as I am waiting for my PR (applied for it in January).
For OWP I'm applying online, I have added all the forms and documents but there is also "optional documents" what I thought that I can choose to add or not. But now, it looks that I have to add all forms (also optional) to get to the page where I can pay for the request.
Is it the same for everybody or I'm just doing something wrong..?

i applied for my GCMS note on Jul 1st which means i should be getting it sometime soon
but i heard even these processes are being delayed who knows when ill be getting mine
ill post my info on GCMs note once i get it. fingers crossed!
