Folks,
Just to keep you posted. Unwillingly I am planning to go for medicals in advance next week. My family is returning to India in early July at the start of School vacation in Canada. Do have a plan to bring them back to Canada as PR and land in Oct/Nov if all goes well with my application.
Do not see any benefit from Upfront medicals but I don't prefer to do mine in Canada individually and ask them to get it done in India separately. Moreover, looking at the current pace, I do not expect any MR's before Aug for Jan 2013 applicants.
Hi Andy, did You go for your medical?
Im planing to do mine in advance too, as I have plans and I might not be able to do it by the time they ask me.

Yes. I am done with upfront medicals. No photos were required to be taken. Sent the bar code forms for self and dependants to CIC.

Yes. This 'eMedical Up-front Medical Notification' form was generated at the Medical centre. It contains a Bar code with UMI number (10 digit starting with 'U')
- Client personal details with photo (clicked at the Medical centre)
- Client identity doc details (passport)
- All Exams
- Instructions to the client
This form has to be sent to CIC to track your Medical reports.

Thanks for answering. I called yesterday to a doctor in Calgary and they said they cannot make an appointment without the EMI, medical form sent from Cic. So I should try others. I came here to ask because with those changes to e-medical maybe now it wouldn't be possible.

Hi Andy
Did you inform them that you were going for a upfront medical before make an appointment? They didn't ask you for the EMI number?

Yes very much. All that was required - Passport, 8 digit client ID, AOR Number (if you have one) and fees.

Hi all,

I got my AOR on Jan 22, 2013. I think I'm in this group right? :P
I have a silly question, on average, is it about time we get letter for medical check or something like that?
Thanks.

This group is not based on the AOR receipt but for the ones who filed applications (received at CIC) in Jan 2013. Pls check out Nov / Dec 2012 forum (whenever you have filed your appln).

Hi,

Is there any one applied for CEC as Research assistant (NOC 4012) after Jan 2013 and received AOR ???
