one more thing...they edited my Visa Office from Manila to CPR.... what is CPR?
Or do they mean CPP?? ...but it's a clear "R"

I guess it should be CPP. So it is evident that even if you choose any other Visa Office, they will modify it to CPP.

I guess so ... they did not honor Manila and slash it with a red pen and replaced it with "CPR" ....I was expecting it to be CPP-Ottawa ... but it's really not ... so kinda wonder what is CPR ... never heard of that visa office

One good thing with this returned application .... I can see how they have assessed the forms... they have put some notes written in red ink ... and it's already organized as to how they review my application ....

but what is CPR visa office...hmmm .... intriguing

Hi Guys,
Just an update. CIC NS returned my whole application and the reason is they said that my son's birth certificate and passport copy is missing and not submitted. Actually it was there but they are looking for a Singapore Passport. My son was born in Singapore but he is not a Singaporean citizen. He is a citizen of Philippines and he has Philippine passport and Philippine Birth Certificate. Singapore does not practice same law with Canada whereby if you are born here then you get the citizenship automatically.

This is so weird because I submitted the same thing last April 2011 as FSW2 and got a positive AOR and they did not question about his citizenship. Anyway, I guess I will be re-submitting my application with a letter stating these facts.

The only sad thing about this is a month got wasted and I will be leaving this group and joining Feb 2013 apps.

Take note that CIC's letter was dated Feb 6 and I received the package today Feb 12. So it means applicants before me may expect their AORs probably this week.

Goodluck to everyone!
Its really hard luck. All the best for your re-apply.

I am very sorry for you. It is very sad, they were not careful.
I hope all the best for your re-application.
Andthanks for all your other information.

Hope nobody else will have the same bad luck.

Hello XLG,

Exactly the same thing happened to me.

I submitted my application on 12 th December. I am from India and Son's BC is issued in English and that turn out to be an issue for CIO offcer as he/she thought that it is translated version.

The returned my whole application and we had to re submit in Jan..

I became Jan applicant from December ...and this time also fingers crossed...

Hi Guys,

What is this Pay/Encash Date ...means ..This is confusing ...as I dont see consistent dates put in their....I assuming it is the date on which your payment is taken ..

Yes it is the date you did the online payment or when the money was taken by CIC

Our First applicant is Andy reached his application on Jan 3. What I have observed, it takes 50 days to receive AOR.

He is standing on 40th day, and so I am assuming he should get his AOR latest by 22nd Feb.

Let see if that happens ...

Does it mean that whether or not BC is issued in English we always have to submit an attested copy ??

Hi Hope4MapleLeaf,

All the best for your re-application and thanks for sharing the details. Let's hope it goes quicker. You may reapply as soon as possible.
Try to get details from Bahadur30 and other applicants who resubmitted application on what all forms you may need to update date etc. while re-sending package.

Dont loose Hope ....you just lost "one month" and that is nothing as compared to what possible things could happen here .... I have seen rejection after 6-7 months for no reason ....so take it easy..

Do your job ...and have belief on HIM..and move on....

This is what I'm afraid of. Losing months and months because of something like this. This process is like a nightmare for applicants yet we hear things that make it sound that the officers werent very careful or paying attention.

Hello caissaca,

Do you have control on that? I guess the answer is no. And obviously worrying will not help in anyway.

So think positive ..and see things will work our your way ...
