Just to keep you all posted... Dec 17 applicants have got their AOR today.

Hope they will keep the same pace...

Dec 17 applicants got their AOR today with the holidays in Dec?!
At this pace, we should get our AOR by mid-Feb or the end of Feb the latest :D

Hey guys -

anybody in a similar situation? I have 12 months of work experience on a PGWP (issued Feb 2012). However, my degree was officially conferred in May 2012. Should I wait till May to apply or will my experience from Feb to May count? Anybody applied in Jan with a similar timeline?

Thank you!

This is where January 2013 applicants share their information on the application process.
There is many threads on this issue. Why don't you try searching?

Agree with you HY325. With online payment option available, the time gap between payment and AOR issuance is also expected to be drastically reduced. Very optimistic about next week :)

I sent my application on Jan 29, 2013 and it received there next day..... :D. I do have a question. I have sent my application without pcc. I canot get PCC from indian consulate in canada as right now i am waiting for my workpermit and on implied status, wondering if i get PCC from India itself, will it be valid. Please advise

PCC is a non mandatory doc in the initial stage. You can wait for your AOR and submit PCC once you get it or when CIC asks for it. You have a minimum cushion of 2-3 months for sure.

Extremely difficult (Not impossible though) to get a PCC from India without you being physically present in India. I cannot comment on the back channel.

Hello all,

I have a technical question but I think I already know the answer...

I applied for the Permanent Resident in January and my Work Permit expires in May. Should I extend it ?

Thanks

Definitely Yes. Even if all docs are in order / everything falls into placce, 6 to 8 months is the minimum processing time for a PR.

XLG, you can apply for bridge open WP once you receive your AOR. Check the below link.

Thanks Yahoo7,

I will do that, but the fees are the same as an extension but it is valid only 1 year ....

There is an access control placed on the application tracker. Who is the owner?

Oh is that why I was asked to put in my account info?
Whoever has the control should make it open to public again :P
