To be honest, I've never thought of choosing the seoul office. I'm sorry but I have no idea on which visa office is faster.
I was concerned of getting an interview because I served as a military officer back in korea for a few years. I also thought correnspondence would be a little easier and faster when I'd stay in Canada.

Instruction guide has been updated twice this year already and Document checklist has been updated at least once this month. Education document requirements have been removed from the new Document Checklist and the Education in Canada section has been removed from Schedule 8 - Canadian Experience Class form.

Even for those with Canadian education credentials don't need to submit their diploma or transcripts any more.

It's a little confusing because CIC keeps updating their forms and instruction guide too often.
I'd keep my eyes on CIC website for any changes. Please make sure you have the current and valid information.

I have been filling in the forms over the last few weeks and haven't noticed any updates? How can you tell if the forms have changed or been updated? Does this matter or should I continue with the ones I started to fill in?

Anyone can advise if they know? Thanks guys

I sent my application today and was not aware of changes made in January. (*sigh* I should've double checked before I sent it today)
All my documents were based on the ones they had up on their website in Dec 2012.
I did read over the changes and I noticed I am not missing anything.
In fact, I have extra information that they don't ask any more
Do you guys think it would make a difference? I don't need to send another set of application, do I?

I dont think they mention the updates on the website but if you see the bottom of your application and the one from the newest copy, the numbers dont match up.
for example, the old copy i have says IMM-0008 (12-2011) E but the new one says IMM-0008 (01-2013) E instead

Andy,(or anyone else that can advise me)

Andy you seem to know your stuff so maybe you can help me. I became eligible for the Experience Canada Class visa since January when they reduced the work experience to a year. It states however that I must apply within one year of leaving my job which was end of January 2012. Which means I only have this month to get it in. Which was possible only for the fact that i delayed doing the english test and now the soonest I can have that completed and have results back is early February, bringing me over the time.

Another thing that's killing me is the NOA for the taxes. I didn't file my taxes for 2011 stupidly, I only owe the tax office 200$ but it just slipped my mind. So even if I did my taxes now, it will take 6 months to get these back. And just reading other comments on this forum, I must file my taxes for January 2012, so maybe I could do 2011 and 2012 all together.

Do you think I can send my application off without these 2 things with an explanation letter stating I will send it in as soon as possible or am I pissing against the wind? Do you think they will process mine or will it just be a waste of time and money for me?

Anyones advice would be greatly appreciated.

from earlier post, ppl said the only updated documents were "IMM-0008E and document checklist" so you can probably fill those two documents out again but keep the rest since the rest of documents should be the same as before.

Ok. Last question on this as I don't want to frustrate people, but even after re-visiting the CIC website and downloading the PDF, it still has the same date (12-2012) and is still called IMM0008. (Not IM0008E). I tried refreshing the page but still has the same form.

Any ideas why- or am I just being dumb?

IMM-0008 E might be called schedule 8

Aahh I see. I was getting confused with IM0008 Generic Application Form.

Barryronan86,

1) English test results (as per the criteria) is a MANDATORY doc unlike PCC or other additional docs. Your application will be rejected upfront if it does not have the scores required.

2) With the new changes setting in, NOA submission could still be exempted under specific conditions with explanation. For someone who has worked from Jan to Jan (12 months exp), it will practically be impossible to send NOA upfront along with the application.
