As the strike is still ongoing. most of the applicants who have submitted their application in the month of September 2012, october 2012, november 2012, december 2012.....all of these applicants are still waiting for MR.... so you have applied in jan 2013.. so mostly you still have time for your MR..as per the discussions in this website, it takes more than 12 months to get MR. so good luck.

yeah feel like that those months are the ones who slowed down. Although,12 months to get MR? no man...I think you mean PR, cus MR is commonly at the 7th month or 8th when you get it. After that is 2-3 months to finish, supposing everything went well.

2nd that!!, no way 12 months MR!. That would mean PPR in 15-16 months

Well, I think the timeline for MR (7-8 month) being discussed is based on applications processed last year. Because of the delays in processing this year the timeline for MR's might exceed 8 months.

Hope not!, I understand your point though. Its about time they just pulled there finger out! (out their ass, English expression).

Many of us, Jan applicants, have already crossed 8 month mark. Hardly 2 of us have got MRs so far. Even most dec 2012 applicants are yet to receive their MR. And some Nov 2012 too.

Cpp - Ottawa looks like a black hole to me. None of my emails are getting replies, even the ones informing them about my marriage.

My wife's trv is in progress at New Delhi for the last 25+ days. No update from them as well.

I'm just hoping for some good news.

Not good bro!!

If we don't see more December and January applicants get MR by the end of the month I think we can throw that 13 month processing time out the window!!

yeah..most likely. I just got my second GCMS notes this morning. And it's the same as the first. Only criminality is in progress.

:(

May be MRs are being stockpiled for delivery over the rest of the week :)

Is criminality the RCMP check or is that security?

I already got an RCMP request and I was wonder if anyone knew if that means eligibility is already done.

Also, eds1275 - I get quick replies from them (3-7 days) - I've asked them to confirm receipt of documents in the last week. I always include all the information required as stated in their automated response including the application number in my subject

Thanks. May be my mistake was that I replied one of their previous emails instead of sending a brand new email.

Can you please let me know when was the last time you got a response from them? I will send a new email with application number in the subject line.

I think the realistic expectation now should be around 10months for MR and total processing around 13months. Really hope I'm wrong on this, but that's what the current timeline suggests.

That sounds about right.

For once I hate it that I'm right. On the other hand, I'm hopeful that even if the process takes longer for MR (10mo instead of usual 7/8), the rest will remain quite expedient...2 to 3mo at most, keeping the entire process at 12 to 13 months. Which is still ok, considering this is what we expected from the very start.
