Just to keep you posted. I had applied for GCMS notes to test the waters. Its a long way to go

Type - RCMP Screening
Status - Fingerprints required

Eligibility - Not Started
Security - Not Started
Medical - Not Started

All the additional documents I sent to CIC have been added to my file.

I did my upfront medicals at London Ontario. You can call up physicians in GTA listed on CIC portal and check.

Saruyashi,
I applied on 27 May and got the notes yesterday.

Hey Andy, Jan-13 folks,

Thanks for sharing GCMS notes.

As your note says,
Type - RCMP Screening
Status - Fingerprints required

just wondering, as we're presently in Canada, are we still supposed to get Canada Police (RCMP) clearance and finger prints? I didn't do it while submitting the application.

If it's needed, is it good idea to get it done upfront and send it across to save some time later on?
Please share your thoughts.

RCMP clearance is definitely not mandatory while applying. It might be requested by CIC on case-to-case basis at a later date. I did take notice of this comment in my GCMS notes. Just waiting to see if all others in the list of Jan 2013 too have this comment in their notes. If yes then I would think this is a standard statement and might change at a later date (once the application gets into process). If not, I will get mine (and my wife's) RCMP done and send it across to be added to my file.

It is still 'application received' and I don't expect any change atleast for another 2 months.
