If you already completed medicals and doctor confirmed that results are sent, can you please share if you see (or dont see) updates in ECAS)?

There has not been any decision made / PPR since last couple of weeks, even in Nov & december threads.

Sure, I will!! I have booked appointment for next Friday with Dr. Grunberg in Calgary. Will keep the forum updated in case I see any changes in my ecas status.

Mdical request: oct 20
Meds done: Nov 7
Meds received: nov 17
PPR: nov 18
Apps status changed from app. Received to in process: Oct 21

I thought the process of my application will be really slow because I never heard from them til I got my medical request, but since then everything just happens so fast.
I just have a question, do you know if I can request for extension with regards to sending my passport? I am going for vacation in 2 weeks and won't be back til feb 2014.. They only gave me 60 days to submit my passport. I was wondering what to do just in case they won't give an extension, otherwise I have no choice but cut my vacation short.

Is anyone else in the same situation than me? I paid on Oct 31st the RPRF , got medical request on Nov 1st and complete them on Nov 7th however my ecas still shows as:'we received your application on January 10th'. I start thinking they will never update my e-cas.

yeah manyof us are in same situation, done with medical , paid RPRF and now waiting for almost 3 weeks for any activity with no status change in ecas. So at this point i think all we can do is wait more patiently and hope for the best

You must also notice that few Feb and March applicants have already got ppr. They completed medical around the same time as some of us did.

I don't have anything against them, but some fairness is required. I don't mind waiting while they issue ppr to October / November / December folks.

well you are talking about fairness as if we can do anything. I do understand the frustration and feel the same but the way cec process application is mystery and i dont think we can do anything about it sadly

After meds they are still doing admissibility reviews (security etc). Some peoples reviews take longer than others. As a result, you will see people who applied after you get PPR before you.

It would not be feasible to hold of on sending our PPR to those whose checks were already completed. I do understand how frustrating this is but be patient and it'll come soon enough!

Definitely YES Just hoping for smooth processing from now onwards. Based on experiences of other forum members it's not always the case. :

After finally scanning many thread I think the RCMP request from CIC may be start of the trouble with my PR application. After numerous requests for suggestions to cross check has anyone been through what i am going through , no one has come back with definitive answers. I think even CIC did not acknowledge the mail i sent stating that the RCMP certificate has been sent already. So folks am losing hope on becoming a canadian PR.

Please one last time has anyone receive RCMP request even when it is been sent in advance. Secondly how long does it take before an MR is sent after that. Please reply .
