I finally got an updated letter from my employer with job duties.
My consultant said that it's better to send the original to Ottawa by mail ASAP rather than sending copies via e-mail. (according to her since it takes long for them to update on file if sent by e-mail)
Yeay or nay?
any suggestions?

Caribou congrats on getting an updated reference letter from your employer im so happy for you, this is definitely a positive step towards your further.
but you have to act pretty fast.i disagree with your consultant, the fast, best and more convenient way is to scan and email it to cpp-ottawa now,you will get an automated reply message.if you send it by mail and by the time it reaches their office the decision is made on your file then you are out of luck.in fact if you email it then they will for sure consider even it its not updated right away but you have proof that is there in your file.
tell your consultant that cic website says:all documents should be scanned and emailed except PCC which you have to send original hard copy by mail.
do not forget to include your file number,DOB,UCI,citizenship and full name.

best regards :)

Hi People,

SORRY FOR POSTING THIS AGAIN, BUT MY QUESTIONS WERE NOT ANSWERED..PLEASE BE KIND AND CLARIFY:

A question, for my friend. He got his RPRF, MEDICAL AND BIODATA REQUEST in November 2013 starting. However, when he paid his RPRF, the receipt he got was blank (no mention of his name, address, UCI, DOB, etc). He had paid in India via an Indian CC (which has got charged) of his relative since he did not have any India CC in his name yet.

What he did then was to send 2 copies of the RPRF receipt: the original blank one (with all other CC details that were automatically filled in by cic as per the payment) and the one filled with all of his relevant details mentioned above. He also mentioned this categorically in his email. Also, his Biodata was emailed to CIC in a seperate email since both the items were to be emailed to seperate email ids.

He was yet to receive any confirmation of CIC having updated his file with the same, although he did request this in both his emails. When he uploaded his new passport, in 48 hrs he received a confirmation email from CIC about the new passport details being updated to his file.

Can you clarify on these things?

A) RPRF receipt was blank as to the candidate details, although the receipt number and the CC details were already filled in. Is this normal / happens / happened with you all?

B) He filled in all the other candidate details and sent it to CIC. This is the standard procedure, correct?

C) He had not received confirmation of the files being updated till yet. Should he email them (CIC) and ask for the same?

Kindly shed some light.

Thanks & regards,
Sid

Thanks,
However, the reference letter should be the original one right?
In that case, should it be sent by e-mail then mailed out?

I had sent through email - they accepted.

Anyways, send through email - if they want hard copies, they'll respond and ask you to send.

I think the way she was saying was that e-mailing takes longer to get acknowledged and put on the file, whereas package gets added to the file right away.
Grrr. I am also trying to attach NOA 2012 (I've sent 2011 already with partial wage and paystubs), T4 2012, and all copies of paystub since last filing as per recommendation.
I really hate it when I have to talk her out into doing things differently.

Aldast, Yum, Saruyashi, sjjhala, New-CEC-Applicant, and others who got MR -

1) have you completed medicals and has your doctor confirmed that results are uploaded?
2) has ecas been updated with medical received?

Please update forum and tracker.

Thanks

Send them by emails. copies of reference letters are accepted if you check the document lists. As someone told you above, it is very important for you to act quickly at this moment. Otherwise you may end up getting rejected as they seem to have already worked on early Jan apps. I am not trying to scare you. Email a scanned copy and mail the original one if your lawyer really wants to sent the hard copy. I sent my NOA 2012 by emails. AFter a few days, they confirmed me that they got them.

Hello Eds,
I am waiting for my appointment to do medicals. Once I have done my medicals and my status updated, I will post immediately.
Thanks.

Thanks!

Have you received reply about your son/daughters medical results from trv?
