Hi,
We applied for PR under FSW, AOR date is 06 Feb 2018. Considering the average processing times to be 6 months, we are expecting PPR by the first week of August 2018 and the expected delivery date for our new born is also the first week of August. My question is, should I inform IRCC now so that they hold the response to our application and include the new born in our application once the baby is born or should we wait and see what happens first, either the baby is born or we get a response to PR application and act accordingly.
Also, please share your thoughts on what happens if the baby is born after the PR application is approved.

Many thanks,

Congratulations for the new born in advance!
A lot of applications are being processed beyond the 6months mark. There are plenty of applicants from April 2017 and onwards still waiting to hear..so take the 6months thing with a pinch of salt.
Have you already informed CIC of that you are expecting? If not, its best to inform.
If you have informed already, just wait until the baby is here...and contact them via online webpage and upload your child's passport and birth certificate. Thats all they will need for the moment. And they may or may not get back to you for tye new born's medical.
If your baby arrived after the ppr...but before you land...simply contact CIC with your child's birth certificate and passport and CIC will add the baby on to your application and issue new ppr.

Thank you very much SoniaJav for your reply.
Yes, I have emailed IRCC about what we are expecting. I had guessed the same that once the baby is born we can inform IRCC about it and they will ask for passport and birth certificates etc of the child to be added in the application. But I read in one of the discussions that if the baby is born after PPR and before we have landed then the new born will be added into the application through Family Sponsorship, which takes about a year to process. So I thought I should ask other members to confirm.

Thanks again for your reply and let us see if someone else has a different opinion.

I wrote to IRCC to inform them regarding above. Couldn't find an appropriate "type" of inquiry and "Amendment to documents and Verification of Status Documents" type seemed closest so I chose that. Last night IRCC replied with the following.
Could you please advise, if I was to inform IRCC about a baby which is expected in August, which "Inquiry Type" I should be selecting?

Reply of IRCC:

Good day,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

We determined that your request did not relate to the type of enquiry selected in the IRCC Webform(Replacement documents, Amendment to documents and Verification of Status Documents). We invite you to consult the scenarios below and resubmit your enquiry with the correct type of enquiry so that the responsible department replies to your request as soon as possible.

Replacement of Document

If your enquiry is regarding replacing a valid temporary resident document (i.e.: Visitor Record, Study Permit, Work Permit, and/or Temporary Resident Permit), a Confirmation of Permanent Residence, or a Record of Landing, please visit the IRCC Website for the concerned form to complete. All instructions can easily be found within the kit, specifically the Instruction Guide IMM 5545.

Amendment of Document

If your enquiry is regarding correcting an error, therefore requiring an amendment, on a valid temporary resident document (i.e.: Visitor Record, Study Permit, Work Permit, and/or Temporary Resident Permit), a Confirmation of Permanent Residence, or a Record of Landing, please visit the IRCC Website for the concerned form to complete. All instructions can easily be found within the kit, specifically the Instruction Guide IMM 5218.

Providing an additional document or enquiring about an application case status

If you wish to provide an additional supporting document for your application or are enquiring regarding a case status which has not yet been answered via other channels, please write back to us using the IRCC Web form and choose one of the following options:

· Temporary Residence (applied online) or Temporary Residence (applied by Mail)located in the drop down menu under the heading Enquiry for any temporary residence application (i.e.: Visitor Record, Study Permit, Work Permit, and/or Temporary Resident Permit).

· Permanent residence (applied by mail) or Permanent residence (applied online)located in the drop down menu under the heading Enquiry for a permanent residence application under an economic stream (i.e.: Provincial Nominee, Skilled Worker, Caregiver, etc.).

We thank you for your understanding and patience as we seek to provide existing and future Canadians with the best client service.

Sincerely,
