Brother, unfortunately it seems that your application won't be in the 1000 cap.
If your duties matches with NOC 2171 then try to send another application for 2171 as soon as possible. You will need another original IELTS and ECA report. all the other documents are copies.

It will take a number of months for your application package to be returned. I would be extremely surprised if you get your application package back this year.

I am worried about the same. My application was received on 10th September 2014.
I dont understand this process. Are a 1000 visas already granted to people with NOC 2173 or they are just not accepting newer applications?

My App reached to CIC 25-sept-2014, Wants to know that my app is with in the cap or not?
