Hello All,

I have a few quick concerns I need to run by this forum of experienced people.
My details:
- 5 years in Canada
- valid PGWP
- Same employer for last two years in Class B profession
- Spouse is Canadian citizen

My questions:

Valid job offer?

I do not need a LMIA due to the PGWP.
Would my current open-ended contract for full time work constitute a valid job offer (contract dated Dec. 2013)?

Family?
My common-law-partner is a Canadian citizen. Do I include her on my EE app?

Preference of residence?
Does this answer improve scores? Known consequences?

NOC
Which takes precedence: job title or job duties?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1. No. without an LMIA its not a valid job offer.
2. You have to mention her but tell them she's not accompanying you.
3. no and none
4. duties.

It does not affect scores. However, it could affect your eligibility for being selected under one of the provincial EE streams.

For example, if you are interested in getting an invitation to apply from Ontario, "When you register for Express Entry, you must indicate your interest in immigrating to either Ontario or “All Provinces and Territories.”

Thanks for the feedback. I'm half tempted to include my spouse as the "Canadian relative."
So far I'm just under the radar with a CRS at 447. I need to up this #.

You do know that you cannot get Adaptability points for having a Canadian spouse/common-law partner. And also that it makes no difference to your CRS score.

What does make a difference is their education, language skills and Canadian work experience.

Just wanted to say thanks again and give an update.

I've since removed my job offer because although a unique situation, I'll be applying under CEC and won't need to address the open job offer. At any rate, they already have my current employer information showing I'm presently employed.

Secondly, I've included my Canadian spouse as a family member (not relative) that will not be joining me in Canada (because she's already here).

Third, I've reevaluated my education credentials realizing it qualifies for a higher level of education than originally submitted, so I've gone ahead and submitted the higher level of Canadian education.

Since I was at 447 before my education update, I imagine with reassessment my CRS score should inch its way above that 450 mark.
Furthermore, this whole EE experience as an international post grad student with Canadian work experience is bullshit. I'm weighed against people not in Canada without Canadian experience, Canadian education or perfect language scores. Hopefully these process failures will be righted throughout the present - 2017 expansion of this program.
