Dear Sir,
By grace of God alight we have got a letter fro the cardiac surgeon which clearly nention that he wont require any cardiac intervention.
how long will it take to get passport request now?
our ecase says "Nedicals recived"

plz advise
If your e-cas says medicals have been received, the medical officer has already signed off on the medical results. If you have not received a fairness letter, you have passing (M1 or M2) medical results. An unacceptable medical result (M5) would lead to a fairness letter. It is possible that SOME of the medical results have been reported but not all of them. You might want to order your GCMS case notes (in your case through a service such as caips.ca - for a fee) and this will show you the current state of your file.

Have they requested your RPRF? If not, that would normally be the next step and then the PPR, though they could send both together. It's likely (assuming no other issues) that you would hear something further in another couple of months.

I know you want a definitive answer, but given the process nobody can give you one. The labour action is certainly causing problems as well, but again, I would expect you will hear something in the next month or two.

Dear Sir,

Just wanted to know by your experience that if "Medical have been received" status comes on the ecase, does that means that the medical review has been conclude or does it mean that Medical review is now going to start.
Because from the time the courier reaches Paris Visa Office until Medical Have been recvied status comes its almost 45 days.
That means have the medicals been already reviewed completed or once the ecase is updated thats the real time when medicals are being started to be reviewed.

Just please guide

Medical results are manually transferred from the IMS computer system into GCMS (the CIC computer system) and thus the update to E-CAS indicates that the results have been entered into GCMS. This can only happen after a medical officer has reviewed your medicals and finalized your rating.

In the case of a medical refusal, "medical results have been received" will not be posted until after the fairness letter has been process and the medical officer has issued a final decision of inadmissibility (M4, M5 or M6, with M5 being the dreaded "excessive demand" and M4/M6 dealing with issues of public health and safety).

Sorry, I don't know about NGOs that offer to provide such medications. They generally seem to be country specific.

Thanks, computergeek.
I've hired the professional services you indicated me. I'm thinking about alternatives to prove CIC I'm not going to be excessive demand during the period I'm in Canada. We've been discussing alternative health plans that provide coverage on prescription drugs, but they are hard to find.
Could you help us with any other idea?

Group plans are generally the best as they tend to have plans that do not do specific underwriting. For example, chambers.ca will offer a plan to a company with just three employees without medical underwriting. Most Canadian employers offer similar plans and if they are larger they typically don't worry about medical underwriting, but of course usually you have to be inside Canada in order to find such plans and arrange for them.

Some provinces (e.g., BC) do not require a resident director, which can make creating a Canadian corporation simpler. With a Canadian corporation - a legally distinct entity from yourself - you can easily establish a PHSP. For example, Hub Financial (http://www.hubfinancial.com/) administers such plans and for a modest amount you can set up such a plan. Because PHSPs are irrevocable trusts you need to be careful about funding them - you cannot get the money back short of paying for medical expenses. The good thing about such a trust is that it is non-discretionary, unlike insurance. So an insurance company might refuse to pay something, but a PHSP cannot.

You might also search the specialized insurance market for insurers that will provide coverage for pre-existing conditions. Generally such plans are severely restricted in some fashion, but you might find something this way that would help out as well. It's been several years since I searched, but I was surprised to find companies willing to write such insurance. It definitely was expensive and limited, however.

Dear Sir,

on 30 Oct 2013 our status changed from " "medical results have been received" to "decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

Its almost 2 weeks now and we havent got any PPR...most of our friends got PPR with 3-4 days of DM on their Ecase. Also 4 days back we sent CSI case specefic enquiry there was NO REPLY.
We are big worried generally it doesnt take time for PPR nor for CSI in the past we got reply within 1-2 days of our CSI.

Please advise.

Hey, computergeek
Long time no see!! ;D
Just an update:
Our attorney has done all paperwork related to our case (response to the fairness letter /hiv+ spouse) and sent it to the consulate in November. On December 20 we received my partner (principal applicant) passport with his student visa (yayyy!!!), but we are still waiting for mine :)/) .
Have you heard of cases like this? The couple may receive the visas separately?

Thanks for your help, and have a very nice year 2014!! :D
