I will only invite my parents this time.
1) The application only goes to supervisa if I select stay > 6 months, however my parents can only stay for a month. Can I mention the intended travel duration as 1 month within the application ? Will that make them ineligible for super visa ?
2) As they have already given biometrics last month for VV, they wouldn't have to do it again right ?
3) Approximately how much is considered a good proof of funds to support one month of stay for parents in supervise ?
1. You can say 6 months for a supervisa and they can just come for one month. They need to pass medical and get a year of health insurance.
2. No need to redo.
3. Well you need to meet LICO for all of them plus any children and spouse. Any cash in the bank from them will help their application.

Since they have a rejection they still need to address reasons for refusal.

In my VV application I have mentioned that my father cannot be out for more than 1 month as he has his business commitments. Is this not contradicting if I mention 6 months now ? Basically, I just want them to visit me for a month and I am using supervisa only because I want IRCC to consider my funds.

Explain that due to limited personal funds and previous TRV refusal you have opted to apply for a supervisa although they only wish to visit for 1 month.

That is the plan, I am just worried that it should not make the application ineligible and face another rejection. Have you seen any other super visa applications which mentioned less than 6 months in the form or invitation approved ?

In order to be considered for a supervisa pretty sure you have to select an over 6 month visit in the application.
I meant the dates where I mention when they will enter and leave after I select the super visa option. That can be less than 6 months right ?

  • Category - Supervisa for parents
  • Duration - 1 month
  • I make well above LICO for 4 members (my, spouse and parents) - T4 & NOA around 200k - Do i need to show both ?
  • I have around 50-60k in Canadian savings account that I can show. I also have investments in TFSA, do i need to show that ?
  • Pre-Medical and Health insurance will be done next week.
  • Parents ties to home country
    • My younger brother and step-grandmother stay in the same house and will still be in home country. Parents will need to go back to support aged step-grandmother
    • CA net worth certificate for dad so show assets in the form of land, house, gold (>100k) and some personal liquid funds (less than 5k-excluding business account)
    • My dad runs the family business (owned by my step-grandmother) and cannot leave it unmanaged for long - Statement to show transactions from business account to personal account and letter confirming that my dad manages the business. Since it is within family, there is no formal salary structure.
    • My mom is a housewife and has gold in terms of assets but not liquid funds etc.
  • I will mention in invitation that applying for SV due to limited liquid funds with parents but the duration of visit is still 1 month
In SV, are my proof of funds enough or do parents still need to show proof of funds ? My mom is a housewife, to establish her ties, is her son and mother-in-law being in hometown enough ?
I have explained the details above, any suggestions or concerns are appreciated. Thank you.

Does it help if I post it in a new thread for suggestions from people facing similar situation ? I want to make sure I don't haste and want to avoid rejection this time as it has been very frustrating

NOA and proof of savings is fine for you. Your parents should include proof of their own personal savings. They can include proof of property but not gold. Unless your brother is under 22 he is not a tie neither is your step grandmother but you can mention they live together and provide care for them.
