Need help for Spousal sponsorship

hi, im newbie here and i dont have any idea on how things work here. At first, i only wanted to register just to read and get some infos on how to sponsor my husband but i thought it would be better if i post what my concerns are.. I am hoping for all your responses and advices and would gladly appreciate them..

i am Filipino citizen and a PR card here in Canada. i've been here for 2 years now. last Dec 2012 i married my boyfriend for 8 yrs. i am planning to sponsor my gusband here in Canada. I just don't know where to start.

I already saw the application forms that needed to fill out but i am confused with some of the forms like USE OF REPRESENTATIVE (IMM 5476), CO-SIGNER, and when will the medical take place? Is it to be submitted together with the application or he still needs to wait for the immigration to tell if it's time for him to do the medical?

I've asked so many people and they are giving me different answers that's why im getting much confused. Hope you can help me with my concerns. Thank you so much..

If you download the checklist of Part1 and Part 3 (country specific) you will see that Medical is listed on it. Don't get confused go by the check list, you have to provide all that is indicated on the checklist.

There are some forms that are optional depending on your situation.

-Use of Representative Form : If you don't use any Professional to file your application for you. You don't need to fill it.
-Financial Evaluation : If you live in Quebec : There are some forms you don't need to provide (Financial evaluation and Tax option C and work employer letter) they are clearly indicated on the checklist, if you don't live in Quebec you have to provide all forms.
-Additional dependent form : If you have more then 5 children.
-Statutory declaration of common law : If you are married you don't need to fill this, if you are not then you have to and then there are condtion like livign with your boyfriend for 2 years etc..

My advise is to read all the following carefully it is very clear and you don't need anything else . There is nothing to be confused, it is straight forward. But you may need help when you will start filling the forms, as some questions are confusing, then you can come here and ask, a part from that everything is very easy and straight forward.

You dont need a use of representative unless someone else is filling out your forms. Just dont include it.
You dont have a co-signer unless you have a commonlaw or spouse and you are sponsoring someone else together. This is N/A.
If you apply outland, get your medical done before the application andinclude theform that the Dr will give you in the application.
If you apply inland, then you dont need to do the medical until CIC requests you do it. They will contact you.

Pardesifr posted some good links. Look at your country specific guide and it will tell you. Just make sure you know if you are INLAND or OUTLAND.

Why not? Do it online, takes 5 mins. Print out the receipt, fill out the info and include it. Its so much easier than doing a bank draft.

another question guys, im going to fill out the forms online, and im wondering if do i need to validate all of the forms at the same time to get the bar codes? Do i have to print the bar codes in one paper? How do you do it?
Sorry if i have too many questions, just want to make sure of what i am doing..

dont worry about the questions ask as many as you can, make sure before validating and printing make sure everything on the form is done correct dates names ect and when you done validate it and print it out with the bar codes. dont forget the checklist as well very important everything in the checklist is done. everything

And one thing, i have read on other threads that have printed all their bar codes in one paper..is this mandatory to print the bar codes in one paper?

actually when you print you dont really have a choice on how the bar codes print as long as they print.lol but yes when it prints it comes all on one paper. what country is your visa office? any other questions feel free to ask.

Just a quick note that having a Professional doing your application for you is not the only purpose of the IMM5476. If EVER you want to be able to speak to CIC on your husband's behalf and have them "willing" to speak to you, you would have to assign "yourself" as an "Authorized Representative" - using that form.

And for the remittance receipts, can i just scan it or do i need to send all the original receipts?mine i from jan2011-feb2013, should i send them all..

We just put approximate addresses. Like, we knew the months but not the exact date so we guestimated!

send the original receipt but make a copy for yourself,
