need help... for minor child consent..

Anybody who has experience may I pls ask advice.. My wife and family can not locate the biological father of her son for him to sign the consent which the CEM required for additional requirement that they emailed us.. Any insight will help. Thanks

She can send proof that she has full custody.

We dont have a court custody and VO just given us 30 days to past the requirement. We have a court order of changing the last name of the child but not full custody..

You have to have a court order granting full custody or a signature from the father. There is no other way. Sorry

If all else fails she should try a statutory declaration listing all efforts to find the biological father of her child and why she cannot get a court order and send it. They may consider that.

Its 3 days now looking for his whereabout plus the days before we passed the papers. Its hard to find a person hiding on their responsibilities. If we go to court it will take months to get full custody and spend lots lots of money for lawyers and other fees. We gave statutory declaration before with the papers we passed already but still they are looking for the consent..

I really feel for you but the Canadian government is firm on this. Even with a court order it is not a given.

Thanks for the insight. Its good its an election month in the Philippines so my wife went to the city of mayor office to ask for assistance locating the biological father. They will meet soon for formality meeting of signing the consent. Hoping he will sign it. God bless everybody..
