Hello,
I am new here!
I am from Germany and I am visiting at the moment my family here.

I am scared to fly back to canada that they might don't let me in?
I had a few Visistorvisas and workvisas and now I want to apply with my partner for Common Law Sponsorhip!

Should I pay some Fees to show the border people why I am comming back again! :D or is a return ticket enough?
And if which ones all? or just one part?

If I apply which guides should I use on the CIC internet pages? also for PR application right, I should do this too???
And how should I send it in a box with the normal Post or ups?

Can I choose Ottawa or should it be Vienna ... also If I lived in canada for 3 years with the work and visitorvisas?

well thank you so much I am glad I found this FORUM!!!
:D ;D :) ;)

Hi Ema, you can find application packages on the CIC website, I would strongly suggest using the outland one:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/3999Etoc.asp

Have you had any issues entering Canada before? Are there any flags? As far as I know Germany is a visa exempt country and you don't need any special documents to enter. In our experience leaving and entering Canada frequently only reduced the number of questions and suspicion at the border.
If you plan to enter for *vacation* and stay it could be tricky but does not usually cause issues, as long as you play their game and stay under the radar.. extending your stay, not working, etc

There is also a CIC thing called dual intent, make sure you know what it is:

1.you are from visa exempt country so you should need to purchase a round ticket.
it is mandatory and some airlines do not check you in if you don't have a round ticket.

2. you can apply for sponsorship either inland or outland.
you have to send all app together : sponsorship and PR app.

Outland app : normally process faster than inland app : but no open work permit, you have to have a job offer to get a work permit.
inland app: you should stay in Canada, better not leave Canada till you have DM. can apply for Open work permit so you can work.

3. you wanna apply as common law then you have to live with your partner for consecutive 12 month period.
you are in Germany now , so hopefully you have lived with your partner more than a year.

still the question should I pay some fees or better just before I send to Missiaugiiiiiiiii? :)
and is in a box okay to send all the paperwork? it will be a lot!

how long can it take if I have to change planes in canada on the officers?????? not that I will miss my other plane?

1. CBSA would not know if you have common law partner unless you tell him/her.
you would answer the question what CBSA ask, you do not give them all information .

2. not sure if you hold visitor visa or work permit.
if you have visitor visa: I would say you just visit your bf/gf.

3. you do not need to pay any fee yet.
you can pay all fees before you send off your app.
it is a lot of work to prepare all docs, so you might wanna start soon.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp#immigrate

there is regional guide and some docs you need to get in your home country.

Be honest. Tell them that you are coming as a visitor to be with your partner while applying for sponsorship. Pay the full $1040 sponsorship fees and have that receipt to show CBSA. Make sure you also carry proof of funds.
