Anyone in the forum waiting for the OWP-S, on behalf of their spouse being an International Student in Canada?

once they received my medicals..we went directly to delhi vfs and they said..within 10days i will surely get my passport in hand..again when there wasn't any news we enqired..then they said..we dont know how long wud the NDVO take for visa stamp..now just waiting..

Hi Sjoms,

Has it been 20 business days since your medical result submission or 20 days in total. Please keep in mind that there was a holiday in April other than the weekends.

In addition I would also like to update the forum that today at VFS Delhi my wife learned that NDVO opens window for enquiry between 11 am - 12 noon Mon - Thurs. This is not published anywhere and you can only learn in case you visit VFS office in person and demand knowledge of the best way to reach out to Canadian Immigration.

I am in similar situation. I am in canada on PGWP applied for S-OWP on Feb 26 2013 sent to New Delhi CHC . Still waiting for MR no response to email and enquiries so far. I hope i will get some update from them this week.

Our cases are almost similar as she applied on 25th Feb, 2013. Just differ in VO; My wife's OWP(s) application is being processed in Chandigarh.

We seem to have filed the application around the same time. I am on PGWP, submitted owp-s application on 23rd Feb, no update inspite of raising a case specific query.

Please keep posting if you hear anything!


Hear they are understaffed, the delay may be due to the TFWP changes and what not - such a sad thing to do

How do we approach High Commission, Delhi between 11 AM to 12 PM. Is it through VFS, I meant by sending a request letter or we can meet a concerned person at High Commission personally during this time to discuss about the pending files. Please clarify!

Friends its Mon - Thu and only for 1 hour. I was not aware and visited on Friday and it was a waste of time and energy . Hope this info saves your time in case anyone is planning to visit on Friday.

I visited on Monday and to my surprise they did not open Window, I was told by security personnel that today its a UN-planned holiday as the immigration personnel are attending some conference. So over all it was waste of time and efforts again to visit embassy, So instead of getting frustrated I visited VFS and deposited required documents there and paid 800 INR as processing charges.

Additional Info regarding logistics while visiting NDVO :

If you go to NDVO Chanakya Puri there is no parking space for visitors ( May be it is because of security reasons ) , so either your car / bike will be towed away or you have to Park your Car 1 Km away at Nehru Garden area near Niti Marg. You have another option to go there by hiring a Taxi / Auto. They prefer ppl to submit their applications at VFS Canada office.

I hope this info might be useful for some friends who are planning to go to NDVO. If you are going to use your personal car then always go with one additional driver so that you can be dropped at Visa office and after completion of your formalities your friend/driver can pick you up from there. Good Luck

Mine case is applied on 20-Feb-2013 for CWP/LMO.

Till date no update. Still waiting...!

My case is applied on 24-Jan-2013 for Intra-company WP. Requested medicals on 28-Feb-2013,submitted medicals on 06-Mar-2013. Then after there is no update on VISA.

Hello Everyone.

After following the processing timelines for a lot folks here, Irealized that I am one of the more recent applicants, and I have a long way to go.

Our CWP - ICT + SOWP were submitted on 1st Apr, and the upfront eMedical form was included along with the package.
We are expecting, and the baby is due on 16th Sep. If the current delays continue and processing timelines continue to be 3 - 3.5 months, I can say goodbye to my canada plans. ???

You are right! and for your information please refer the international flights terms and conditions on pregnancy women travel from 06 month to 9th month. Most of the Airlines are not allowing after 6th month pregnancy. Please read the instructions and prepare yourself mentally.

Its so frustrating I have given up..I have already registered for my ielts and paid rupees 9000 assuming that it rakes only 20 working days and now I don't have my passport for the exam and to transfer the date I have to pay 3000 but iam not sure when will I get my passport how will I fix a date with them.
