Received MR and got it done today... Finally!!!!!! The results will be submitted online...
So hoping for the best now..

I did mine on 16-Feb. Panel hospital says they uploaed it online.

Hi All,

I have applied the Canada work permit VISA on 19th Feb, 2013 By VFS. But my case is slightly different from the rest as I am working in Singapore and applied the VISA in India.

Can anyone advice whether I will have to go through Medical? What is the average time of processing the VISA? Any idea.

Any help would be much appreciated.

While going for the medicals,we have to carry the following documents
1.photo copy of the medical request from the embassy
2.id proof passport or driving license or pan card (photo copy with original)
In my case i carried the pan card since passport is with the embassy
3.3400 Rs cash or credit card

Hi All,

My wife has applied for SOWP on January 24th 2013. She sent all documents and forms via courier to Delhi office, which was received there on 28th January, 2013. My question is how can we get File number or any tracking number if we are sending application through courier? Please let me know if anybody has information regarding to this.

You can check the list of countries which require medical test on the CIC website. If you staying in a country (which does not require medical test) for about 6 months then you might be exempt.

as mentioned on the website "•you have resided or stayed temporarily for six or more consecutive months in one or more of the countries or territories listed here in the one year immediately preceding the date you sought entry into Canada. This applies even if you are a citizen of a country where you do not require a visa to enter Canada."

Med Done: 21st July 2012
Awaiting further response. Any clues?

Medicals on July-2012 and receiving the stamped Passport after almost 7 months. Is this within the SLA/Average processing times ???

Currently NDVO says 2 months after receiving the completed application. What made you think in ur case its within the Average processing times? Pls advice
