I am a december 7 applicant. All i have received is a Dec 8th email stating that my application has been received by the consulate.

My wife medical was done on Nov 7 and submitted to CHC on Nov 17 , submitted file on 4th dec, started processing on 5th dec.. its Spouse open work permit.

dont know how long we have to wait.

its absolutely ridiculous that hold someone's passport for 2.5 - 3 months...depriving the person of travel...the worst thing is their high handedness.. at least reply to mails if you don't answer calls.. how can you just keep everyone in dark.. beats me how an embassy can have operations like this..
