No, not yet.

When did you submit your medicals. I submitted on December 3.

I submitted my medicals on 27th Nov...Most of the people are getting the visa in 3 weeks from the time of medical..So I guess you may get it around 21st.

thank you for your reply. I hope I get to hear from them next week.

Hi Senthis
You got medical requests after 2 months?
Your case got delayed because of late submission of medicals ...is it?...

Hi Prykaul... my case was quite tedious.. but also because i had my BC PNP running alongside my WP.
Normally after medicals is done it should take 8-12 days as per Delhi VFS, the delay must been because of the influx with student apps..

Dear Friends... Summerr, harishshk, hir_nirun...

I submitted my application for work permit at VFS, Nehru Place, New Delhi on the 12th Nov/2012 (received by CHC on the 14th). It's been a month and still haven't heard anything. As you guys are the most recent visa/MR recipients.... i'd sincerely appreciate your response to a couple of queries i have...

firstly... is the embassy generally taking longer than 1 month/4 weeks (processing time as mentioned on india.gc.ca) to give their initial reply after application?
secondly... guys, under which NOC code did you apply for? are the answer times different for different NOC code applications?
also... in case nothing comes up in the next week... would it be a wise idea to contact the high commission to enquire regarding the status of my work permit application? I personally feel it's risky as i wanna avoid stirring the pot. Could the VFS people possibly have an idea of the status of my application? the tracking on their website only says that my application has been received by CHC and is currently under processing.

I request other November applicants to please share their application status and timeline. Really appreciated.

Fingers crossed!

Well, it is in fact taking some time for them to get back to you. I mean, I got my medical request exactly after one month of applying. So, my advice for you is to wait for a while. They will definitely get back to you. Do not worry .

Mine is a Spousal Open Work Permit. My husband is working as a Lecturer (NOC A) in St. John's, Newfounland and Labrador.

Hi Guys,
I have applied and got my Student Visa .
My wife applied for OWP along with my application on 15-Nov-2012.
My time lines were as below..
Applied for Student visa - 15-Nov-2012
Passport sent back for Medicals - 22-Nov-2012
Passport re-sent with Medicals - 26-Nov-2012
Student Visa received on 05-Dec-2012

Now I am checking for my wife's visa status on the website and its unchanged till now..tried to contact Delhi embassy..and they don't give out any info about the progress on the application..
I am wondering whether my wife's application would only have been considered after my visa was stamped or it must have been pre-processed and it will go for further processing after my visa approval..
Hoping to get her visa stamped soon...

It has been exact two months for me today since I applied. Our medicals are also done. I hope, I get to hear something by this weekend! ::)
