It is open to accept, but if you read carefully, to send Express of interest - u need to have a relation with NB... Work, study, relative or attending a session they r holding worldwide.

Have you attended any session or are u in any way related to NB? If not, you might want to look for available sessions at livinginnb.com or keep on looking at http://www.welcomenb.ca/content/wel-bien/en/immigrating/content/HowToImmigrate/NBProvincialNomineeProgram/ExpressEntry/Eligibility.html if they start accepting EOI from open category (IT candidates)

If you can prove your relation - u can send them an expression of interest along with your resume and wait for their invitation to apply.

thanks for info dear but i fit in ITskills and not in relation category .....so option 3 applicants are accepted or not ?

As you can see - it is clearly informed in the beginning that currently, they are not accepting 3rd option of IT skills!

So gotto wait. May be 2017, they start accepting.

The steps r like this

1 - Send EOI
2 - Receive ITA
3 - Send full application
4 - Receive nomination (obviously they may ask u for additional docs, if needed)

These steps are as of now, hopefully they will have more organized online application system ready in 2017.

why nomination depends on the score??

I dont believe it depends on the score or NOC!

Mostly it goes in sequence and there are few exceptions!

Hello Everybody,

I Created my express entry profile and score is 399. I have more than 67 points needed for new brunswick PNP. But it seems like they are not accepting applications at this time just for fulfilling points? Is it true?

I am in US on H1B in Michigan. Can anybody let me know if i chances would be increased if i attend there information session. Would it be worthwile to fly to a different city in US for information session and if it will increase my chances?

I am a mechanical engineer and NOC is 2132

Thanks

100%, fly southwest, its just $150 book it now!

Hi friends,, i am international student. Just completed my studies in canada its 1+1=2 yr studies. I have applied for work permit. Currently iam in ontario. I wanted to know what are the rules for pr in NB? And which province is good to move for the PR? Thanks

Hi guys,

Ritchie is right, the nominations are not based on score or NOC code.NBPNP issues nominations based on sequence only, but of course there are exceptions, like Production/Manufacturing Engineers, Civil Engineers or IT related jobs.

Hi ritchie_v, for those overseas applicant and in IT skills (2nd option), apart from the Connection in NB, do I also need to have 67 points even if you have IT skills? Sad I don't have enough points :(

Hi Snickers,

Yes, you need to have 67 points which is the basic criteria and without this you cannot register yourself into the Express Entry and create your profile.

At any stage during the processing of nomination, if the applicant's points come down from 67 he or she will be disqualified automatically.

You are mixing things! Regardless of the job, profession, NOC - there are other exceptions.

Fingers crossed for you. Hopefully before the end of January you should get some good news from NB. Even NB cannot be that slow to not nominate you before May 2017.

I live in the US and signed up for the January 20 New York session on November 30. I then received an email requesting that my resume be sent so they can share it with the employers attending the session. In the email there was even a note that says 'See you in New York'. I sent the resume right away. A week later I got another email that is a reminder to send my resume and it states that if I already sent it then thanks but if not I should send it and add NYC in the subject so they know which session I have signed up for I think this just went out to everyone that signed up not to me directly). The concern is that they have yet to send me details of the event. I sent an email last week to promotions@gnb.ca asking about the details of the event and they haven't responded. Now today is almost the end of the year, shouldn't they already send the event details in case I have to make travel plans? I live only a two hour drive from New York City so I am not going to take a plane anyway, but is this normal? When you sign up for a session do they take a long time to send you details? Now I am wondering if they sent it to me, got into my junk and then was automatically deleted. Any insights from someone who has been to a session before will be appreciated. Thanks!

1 - Yes, they r busy and do not always respond immediately.
2 - Looks like u have been invited to the session and the resume is not to decide whether u should go or not - It is just so that they can give it to the employers who will be joining them.
3 - Unlike most of the seminars in 2016, these seminars have employers coming with them and it will be more like an interview by the company.
4 - Dont make the travel plans yet, last year they cancelled Boston session and just held session in NY - cause less people were coming. With the restrictions this time in attending session - chances are that few people will be coming in. On second thought though - since u r going to NY, it wouldnt matter cause thats the main location (other location may be cancelled).
5 - Last time, they gave out time and exact location a week before the scheduled date. So you can expect the same - mostly it will be after 5pm.
6 - This was the email on 5th May for 12th May session in NY last year
