Hi fhdahd,

Don't worry, maximum by January/February you will receive the invitation, you have time till May na... Once you get the invitation immediately you should submit to CIC, so make sure that all your documents are ready for submission.

By January itself you should start collect the remaining documents like Police certificates which usually takes time. I believe that CIC considers the age at the time of submitting the application to them.

Hi Pascal,

I'm in Doha, and here it is valid for 6 months. Written in the document as well.

fhdahd can get the documents ready. Fingers crossed, by Jan '17 most of us should have the nominations and CIC ITA.

Hi gr-ind.

and how long do you have to wait to get it?

Hi Shoaib,

Though you are Paksitani national, you have been a resident of Dubai since last few years. What you have to do is that apply for a Good conduct certificate from Dubai Police (this can be done online and Dubai Police will deliver the same to you by courier). Once you have received it, then approach your Consulate and ask for a Police clearance certificate from them and submit a copy of the DXB Police certificate. DXB Poice certificate is valid for 3 months. By the end of January we all should apply for it.

For us Indians, we have to apply first to DXB Police and once they've issued it, then we should go to the Indian Consulate and apply for Police clearance certificate from the Consulate as well, while applying we need to submit the copy of DXB Police certificate also.

If you are not a resident of your country for more than a year, then you should get it from your Consulate office in the country where you are residing, this is as per CIC website. All these details are there in CIC website. The DXB Police Certificate is valid for 3 months only, calculating the tentative month of receiving ITA, one should apply for it.

Regards,

Alwin

to go thru Pakistan embassy will take a hell of time, i will suggest to buy a ticket and go to Pakistan and directly apply with capital police station of the area. it will be much easier :)

It takes 5 days to get the PCC from Doha, and I've already got it with me. Just in case if it gets delayed.
And about the medical - it is pending, which I think is better to get once I get CIC ITA. What do you think?

Guys,

Regarding the police certificate, I lived in Abu Dhabi for 1 year from 2011 till 2012, then I left UAE then back again to live in Dubai since 2014 till now.
in this case it is required 2 police certificate from Abu Dhabi and Dubai or only latest one which is Dubai?
