A verbal ITA is, well... an Invitation to Apply that is given to you verbally by NB representatives (not via email like most people do). Attend the Information Sessions scheduled in various countries first. People attending these sessions who already have IELTS and ECAs will be interviewed by the representatives on the spot. Bring a printout of the EOI form as well.

If they deem your credentials to be sufficient, they will get the EOI form you printed out, mark it with a number, and tell you to launch a full application.

@Xquixit, Question...for the pre-assessment interview before the 'Verbal ITA' is given, do they ask for evidence of POF on the spot or just ECA and IELTS results ?

No they won't ask for POF. Just IELTS and ECA results of you and your spouse (if applicable).

OK guys I got another question. Has anyone of you tried paying via credit card? In the NBPNP Fee Payment Form, it gives you the option to pay via credit card and it directs you to to a certain website.

There are several fields that you then need to fill up. Two such fields are quite confusing:

Civic Number - anyone know what this is?
Street Type - what does this mean?

You can apply if you fall under the following categories:

- connection to NB
- info session
- open category

You can check the info on their website welcomenb.ca

I guess you can send an EOI at any time. As for processing times they vary from 3 weeks to 2 months.

My question is , Is this the complete list of skills who can apply under Open category? I don't see anything related to 2171 here. can someone please enlighten on this?
