Thanks a lot. I was just confused with 8+ and 9+. What happens to someone with 9 and not 9+ etc.

Also I see that I have the lowest 67 points amongst everyone else. any chance for getting selected?

its totally depends on the immigration officer and your occupation. if they need more people related to your occupation then its a good chance that you will get selected. Do you have any idea that we have to send our original experience letters or photocopies?

OmarSarfraz,
Though the EOI form says 8+ and 9+, please look at the Guide and it will give you a clearer picture- http://www.welcomenb.ca/content/dam/bitp/pdf/ExpressEntryGuide-E.pdf

My friends,
please help ???
I am not sure which occupations are regulated. I found out that engineer is a regulated occupation that it is so strange because it contains all engineers in different fields. I checked below address(by click on regulated occupation): please help me to be sure if 2133(electrical engineer) is regulated or not.

Guys,

This question that they are asking on the EOI form, "Why are you a good candidate for NB?", says underneath "Friends/family in NB, Visits to NB, Work or Education in NB". What does that mean? If you don't have any of those 3, are you not eligible???

Thank you my friend,

But referred link defines title and duties description for 2133 NOC. I need to know if my occupation is regulated or not in new Brunswick province. It seems most of occupations are regulated in NB(below link)! then unfortunately most of us are ineligible for this province. It was my last chance :(

Well below link say Engineers are in regulated work so Yes you may require Certification first.

Now I am also confused whether I should apply or not as My job title is Senior Software Engineer but my job duties fall under NOC 2171.

WHAT SHOULD I DO?

You can tell how you gonna help contributing NB economy by working and living.

Okay, since nobody seems to be really sure what to write for that question here's what I'm thinking of doing:

I have no family or friends there and have not done any education or worked there. But I do have American higher education and experience so I will just highlight it as North American experience. Also, I have good IELTS scores so I was thinking of highlighting my English skills and ease of assimilating into the province's work culture. That's it. I'm thinking of just fitting as much of this as possible into that EOI form. Not adding an extra sheet for this preliminary stage... Agree/disagree? Thoughts?

okay..but there are three options mentioned in the EOI form..Don't we need to consider these options to answer the question..Besides, the space provided wud occupy hardly 5-6 sentences..shld we take this as a settlement plan and write a essay in a seperate paper..I mean how can we say these things in just 6 sentences..

Hi. See my previous post on this page for my opinion on this.

So do we need to fill-in a seperate sheet to answer the Why are you a good candidate question? or we only fill the small space given

Thanks.

if you are a BA, QA or security analyst , then makes sense to go with 2171. If you code and test, then it makes sense to align with 2173.

I believe you have to be licensed only after you enter Canada not before. See below:

A CIC officer must be convinced that you are able to perform the job offered to you. If the occupation is regulated in
Canada, the officer must also be convinced that you will be able to become licensed or certified when in Canada.
