NBI or NPCS clearance or both (from Philippines)?

Hello, I lived in the Philippines from 2012 to 2016. Before leaving the country for good, I had my NBI clearance from there and currently awaiting for a renewal. When I applied for my study permit, I only provided the NBI clearance and it worked fine. Now I am collecting all the documents to apply for PR. While researching, I happen to come across NPCS clearance, I was wondering do I need to submit that as well or just the NBI clearance would be enough?

The NPCS is still fairly new and I haven't heard about it being required yet. The IRCC only asks for the NBI clearance for now.

Thank you for the reply. I still am trying to collect the NBI Clearance - looks like I won't get it before the latter part of the June (of course cause of the pandemic). By any chance are you aware whether a foreigner (as in, not a Filipino) could collect their NBI Clearance from one of the NBI's satellite branch or it has to collected from the main one at UN Avenue? Just to be on the safe side, I confirmed appointments at NBI Mandaluyong on May 11 (the earliest one I got) and NBI UN Avenue on June 22.

Are you applying for an NBI clearance from overseas or are you in the Philippines right now? If you're overseas, I don't see any restrictions about your authorized representative being a local or a foreigner. I believe overseas applications can only be done through the main office though.

My authorized representative (my sister) applied it on behalf of me - she lives and also a foreigner there. I got my answer though, looks like there is nothing I could do other waiting for June. Anyway thanks a lot for the response, much appreciated

Good luck with your application! I would suggest looking into the mailed option if that might be sooner.

I'm really worried about Police Certificate enclosed in the Outland Spousal Package we submitted via mail yesterday. We submitted the PNP Clearance for the sole and Principal applicant. Later did we realize after reading the thoroughly reading the requirements that NBI Clearance is the specific document IRCC needs. It wasn't explicitly stated in the checklist though.

Any thoughts? Anyone else had similar experience? How was IRCC on it?
