PA for spousal sponsorship submitted Police Clearance instead of NBI clearance as it was not explicitly stated in the Checklist. Anyone experience the same? How was it treated by IRCC?

PA is in Manila. However what ww submitted was Police Clearance and not NBI clearance. Honest mistake, we havent read the details of requirement. Will the application be returned?

Submit ids that carry similar name. Otherwise, it may cause further delay. Inconsistency or discrepancy may result to additional documentation request from ircc or worse, psu endorsement.

Mine was sent on dec 31 2020 to manila embassy. I still havent received it.

For me, third line meant that my application went to Program Support that caused 2 year delay. Decision was made dec 31 2020. Have not received my certificate though

It did go to Program Support. In the past, an application in PSU make take up to 2 years and now with Covid19, not sure how long. In the GCMS notes though, it did say that the Embassy recommended DNA test which i dont understand as upon submitting my application they have carefully scrutinized...

Did u apply outside canada? If u did, high consulate where u submitted the application will contact u upon arrival of the citizenship certificate. U can contact the embassy if still not received by end of september. if inside canada or in usa, u just have to wait for it to arrive in the post...

Mine also changed from "in process" to "application received". Funny it went backwards. I almost fell off my chair when i saw it. And unfortunately to my surprise, i wasnt the only. Im also canadian by descent. My application is nearing the 2 year timeline this coming dec 2020.

Technically yes. But i would need to have citizenship certificate as i was born outside canada. This is the first time i am applying for the certificate and i havent been to canada yet.

Its really weird. Im thinking someone viewed my application and just decided to retrogress the status or something.
