My application was "ready for review" since sept last year. Till now no changes or news. You should expect to wait longer :-[
I know hey! it's a long wait.. mine was "ready for review" since November. I phoned them and says it will take more than 8 weeks and they can't tell when to release the advisory report due to the number of applicants. please update when your report come.
thnx

Same response I got when I emailed them. Canadian nursing board should really look into this long process otherwise they are just going to lose potential nurses from overseas who were willing to work as nurses in the first place. It is disheartening to wait this long just for an advisory report! And we still have a long way to go after...

it takes them a really loooong time.

i get the impression that this NNAS thing was meant to be a bottleneck where they can control the supply of nurses coming into Canada from other countries... but that's just my opinion

Before NNAS , Nursing boards were taking minimum one year to assess to your education, then comes the experience part. .. They outsourced the education part ,so, they introduce NNAS which takes roughly 4-6 months to assess your education. So you can call it a "improvement" :D

saan po kayo sa pinas ng aral? how many pages of syllabi did your school sent to NNAS? I was just worried because some says the assessment will base on the syllabi. :(

i studied in bicol. they asked me to send a longer syllabus that's why my application took longer. they were not satisfied with the one i provided.

that's good your school provided more syllabi. I can't remember if my school sent more because they asked me too and told my school.

Yes the entire assessment depends on syllabi. So ask your school to send as much as possible. I have heard of some people having 80 pages sent. I think my school sent about 50 pages. The more the better.

i had to wait for a whole year before they can come up with more content on the course descriptions and syllabus

my classmates and schoolmates who applied for US RN license did not need to provide such extensive documentation and they were able to get their RN license ahead of me

I am planning to be assessed by NNAS this year. I have a question:

Do I need to pass my documents for assessment together with IELTS? or I can pass IELTS later on when I am near in CNO registration.

Thank you.

I think Canada is getting more strict when it comes to health care profession. do you have your NCLEX already?

I think you should wait because your language test results might expire before NNAS is finished with their assessment. Call CNO to double check though.
