As a newbie in this country, you all know it's so important to have proof of IDs (at least 2) in your pocket.
I'm a returning citizen, apparently my credit history has gone sound after me leaving this country for 10+ years.

You are Canadian? Why do you then have on your timeline medicals and COPR? Just wondering..

2 id's are always required when opening a bank account. that's nothing new.

I do not recall Scotia asking me for 2nd ID when I opened my Bank accounts with them. It was my 3rd day in Canada and all I had with me as ID was my Passport.

Those timelines are for my wife. I sponsored her while I was citizen living abroad. 3 weeks ago, I resumed my Canadian residency and she landed as a new immigrant. However, I don't see much difference on what we need to go through in settlement here... except returning citizen doesn't get all the help from the settlement agency and government agencies/banks are not as generous.
