dear members
i get back my pp yesterday with my visa thanks lord.

Congratulations Tity!!!!
That means Nairobi is back in business :).
When in October did you send your passports?

tity
wow...congratulations!

This news is definitely very exciting and it'd be great if you can let me know thatt
- When did you submit your Passports to NVO and did your ecas status change to "Decision Made"?
- Most importantly, how did you receive your Passports --- DHL, EMS, Aramex?? and did NVO gave you any prior information on it?

Pls answer.

Tity: Congrats.

Mr Nana,

Thanks. I also suspect the forms referred to in the letter are IMM 0008 and IMM 5669. Section D is still elusive. Out of curiousity, I checked quite a number of the forms on the website and none seem to have Section D.

Have sent CSI and will await for the response before sending the docs.

thank you

Hi guys,

Sent my application in August and received an AOR in September from Nova Scotia. How long after that does it usually take the Nairobi office to send the Medical Request?

MALAG...when did you do your medicals?

& did you submit PPR & RPRF??

mr_rana
I had my first medical tests in September, then on october 1, they sent another letter asking me to do an additional tests. this last test was sent in december and I got my e-cas changed on friday january 18. PPR & RPRF were sent few days after the first medical. that means tehy have my passport for about almost 5 months....

MALAG...5 months is simply too much, especially if they keep one's PP for that long.

So far, only Tity has been lucky as he got his PP with Visa but more details on his timeline etc. are awaited to guide us.

I hope you too see your PP back soon with visa...I'm still at In Process

Hello mr_rana,
It's frustrating. Do you have an idea for Nairobi visa office for how long do they process the visa when medical and Police certificate was already sent; I checked on their website, that visa will be issued in 5 days once documents are complete. Please confirm.
We have to pray hard and ask God to help us on this issue

@gashe4peace

Well, to tell you truth, I'm more concerned about PPs being out of my hands than visa... :o

My son was an infant (3 months old) when I made his Passport and now he is over 3 yrs old...you can imagine the change in his case.
I sent his original passport and it has been Ok so far by GOD's grace! :D

So I feel there is no issue and you can send the original PP and yes, if VO asks for a clarification, we can always make a new PP and send it.
:)

MALAG,
I guess 5 days is for visitor visa once all the documents are complete.
For PR applications, VO never commits any deadline and only time knows the answer.

They told me a week ago that my application is in the last stage of processing and only they know what does it mean and how long it'l take more.
My biggest concern is how VO returnss the PP....would an applicant gets contacted directly by DHL, Aramax etc as in case of other VO??

I feel in this situation, Tity can shed more light on it.
Tity sent his/her PP in October (don't know which week) and go back PP with visa last Friday.....so seems like it took 3-4 months.

:)

mr_rana & gashe4peace,

thanks for your active participation on this thread as I thought I was the only one. It gives us hope and crystal information on this long process.
Hope we'll get our passports back very soon. As I may need my passport for a Mission outside of my country.
May God bless us all :D :D :D :D ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

How did you contact them, by e-mail? call? fax?
As far as I know from a french website, they will send you an e-mail asking you to contact DHL, TNT...to pick-up your passports

How NVO returns PP is perhaps the only thing I'm very unclear about at this stage.

As I checked the case of LVO, they send PPs directly to Applicants via Courier (Aramax mostly) and this return procedure is very clear in case of LVO.

However, in case of NVO, only a few applicants who got back their PP can tell exactly how PP are returned but they never replied.
I even asked NVO in my CSI that how would they generally return the PP and do they send any prior notification but no answer.

So in this matter, I'm also in a complete darkness

one of my friend ( CaCa) knick name for this forum, told me before he leave this country, that the VO will send the notification email note to ask you in which address you will comfortable to receive your passport.then you have to confirm them the address. after that they will exactly send you an email informing that the passport has send to you via address you provide to them. i think it may be in different way depend the officer who hold your case. remember personal passport is very sensitive document in our E African region.
