First of all congratulations to those who recently received good news

Some of you may have seen a thread I started in September under Family Class sponsorship about PhD research I'm doing on experiences of the Family Class application process and an anonymous online survey for people who are currently going through or recently finished the process. My goal is that my results can be used for advocacy to make improvements to the system for people who want to sponsor family members in the future.

I'm still looking for lots more people to respond to the survey as the more people respond the stronger the results will be. In particular I’m looking for people who are not well-represented in the data I have already, which includes people who are applying through the various VOs in Africa. On the first page you'll find more information about the survey, and at the bottom a link to click on to start the survey. The survey can be done in English or French. The moderators of this forum have given me permission to post about the survey.

Hey people,

I received my CoPR and PP with visa yesterday, but I am still in communication with the VO because they omitted some information in my CoPR. Please make sure you check your documents properly once you receive them.

Just wanted to let you all know that I received my PP and COPR yesterday. I don't have it in my hands yet as I have to pick it up today.

After DM, I believe NRB is sending out documents shortly.

Filed says in process stil in ecas even after they ask my husband to send passport

Hi Everyone,

I am now a part of the 'club'. I have just submitted our application to Mississauga this week (confirmed via courier).

So, to make sure I am off to a good start can someone update me on the following:

How does the first contact happen - acknowledge receipt of my application to Sponsor in Mississauga (email/mail)?

After acknowledgement, will I be notified when I am approved as a sponsor and file transferred back here to Nairobi?
