a little bit of good news. Processing time decreased at Nairobi VO from 27 to 22 months. I think that's positive

Thanks for sharing Awmf.
I have been looking at that update for a while.

Lets's hope that they'll go even faster!!!!11

I know right?

Only thing is Nairobi processes so many applications. Unless they open other visa offices in East Africa or hire a few more people!
I am just glad they seem to be showing some progress!

Did you send an email to the VO asking for an update or did u deduce it reading from your notes??

I was wondering if i should send them an email because this wait is gradually getting the better of me. On the other hand, i will be receiving my notes on the 13th June which is a long way to go considering my situation.

Hopefully June is our month mate ;)

I sent an email and asked, and that was the reply. I don't expect it to change very fast.
I am expecting something end of June. Nairobi processes so many countries.

It doesn't hurt to contact your visa office. Go ahead and do so. If you see something in your notes that you want clarification with, you can also send them another email. Let me know how that works out for you!

I will wait for my notes which is due in 20 days to have a better idea of what is actually going on.

Thanks for the reply and I wish you all best of luck.

Hello Awmf,

That's good news. I hope they ask for your passport soon( they haven't asked you yet, right?) and spend less time with your passport so that they can send it back asap.
How long did it take you to get a reply from the VO? I emailed them asking why my ecas still doesn't show medical received and/or file being transferred to the VO in Nairobi. It's more than a month they haven't replied my email yet :(
All the best to all of us.

Hey Acecube,. You applied about same time as Awmf. Your file was transferred earlier to VO. Was wondering if they have requested you for the passport or not yet? Looks like they haven't from what I can see in your comments.
Also, does your ecas show medicals received? Is it showing application is in process?

Thanks

Initially, I had applied on 2 September 2014 but due to a change in the IMM 008 form, CIC had requested for an updated one and we have sent it on 14 October 2014.

My ecas currently shows these 3 lines

We have received your application on 14 October 2014.
Medical has been received.
We started processing your application on 3 March 2015.

I am eagerly waiting for the last line “We have made a decision in respect of your application”. Don't know the exact phrase: P

Hello,

The VO in Nairobi very rarely replies to emails. I had sent them an email more than a month ago with no reply. Then I sent them another about two weeks ago and got a reply. I called them to ask why I hadn't received a reply and they said wait for 30 days, but I received a reply the following day. I was quite surprised that they disclosed that my application was in its final stages. I am eagerly awaiting passport request.
I am pretty hopeful it will come in June.

They can decide not to reply my emails but I hope process moves fast. Why can't they just add another visa office to de-congest Nairobi. We are tired of waiting really. Ethiopia of Tanzania can have there own VO and serve other countries too.
