I'm confused. Most Outland applicants on this forum say they are receiving PR from Nairobi after 8 months. But the CIC website estimates 27 months. Why the difference? Please explain!

Hey Aloiki. Congatulations!!!!! Happy for you, hope you get passport request soon. Not sure about that stage exactly but i know it's about 4/5 weeks from passport request. Anyways, can I ask you when did you apply and get you Sponsorship Approval/File transfer?
Actually,anyone that can help, then it'll be greatly appreciated.
It's been a month since I got SA but ecas status isn't saying that my file has been transferred to Nairobi yet( though SA letter said that they transferred it already)
Also, when did your ecas update to medical received? my spouse did her medical upfront but it's still not showing up on the ecas status.
Could you please share your experience on this?

They started processing my file november 2009 and all was quiet till march 2015 when they requested medicals for the 2nd time .Apparently the doctor i used for the first time they issued medicals was removed off their list of reccomended doctors, so i think that delayed my application .But now all is back on track!
I dont know when they updated my ecas because i looked one day and it was there!!!but all i know is it has taken a month for them to update .My sponsor had asked a few weeks ago and they told her they had not yet received the medicals
all is well.from what i see , nairobi office is processing really fast for many people .

been following this forum for some time and l have been gathering information and tips for my application which we are yet to put together.my fiance is canadian and soon God willing we will be getting married at the attonery generals office in june ,then start this long processs,glad l found this forum, it has has helped me to be in the loops of what to expect.thank you guys for the post you put on here and encouraging each other.i will soon be joining the the wagon

Make sure to check the applicant's email address AND Mailing address frequently to find information on how to submit your passport.

Monday to Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
It may be hard to get through initially but keep calling/ send an email. However, if you do get through, they will not often give you comprehensive information on your application. I have been emailing them, and they have been responsive for the most part. All the best
