I'm doing outland sent application in today through Purolator should be delivered by tomorrow morning. just a heads up to everyone that form imm0008 is new as of this month and sending in the old form will get your application sent back. Hello dear applicants,

We applied in April 2014. Got passport request in October2014. Since I was not in NBI at the time,there was a delay from my side sending in the passport. However once I couriered the passport it took only 2 weeks for them to stamp it with visa and send it back.

On average if the application is complete it takes 8 months from start to finish.

yes i managed..thanks..have you heard anything yet? my ecas changed to decision made on a saturday night..keep checking ecas daily. Upto now CIC have not sent me an email saying my application was approved. I only knew through ecas, and when fedex sent me email saying my parcel has shipped. Cic is quite inconsistent. So keep checking your courier, and ecas.

Hey chipolopolo!!! Thanks for your support buddy! It can be quite stressful waiting and not knowing when it will happen! We have been checking everyday. Sometimes multiple times a day. You said 4 weeks since you they recieved passport? This is our 4th week. ??? Still no news. I just want it done so we can be together soon. They even emailed last week asking for return courier coupon and it was sent via DHL. After that........ Silence!!! I figured at that stage it should have been stamped and ready for dispatch but nothing.......

landed this morning through the peace bridge in fort erie. Entire process was 15 minutes. The border officer also told me of a new rule in canada. You can not apply for social insurance number until you receive your PR card. She said it was changed 30 days ago, but you can still get a job.

Congrats to all of who have have received your PR Visas

On my side am still waiting here is my timeline

1. We received your application for permanent residence on April 22, 2014.
2. Medical results have been received.
3. Interview scheduled for November 5, 2014.

I am wondering how long it takes for the Visa office to request for the PP after the interview.

NOTE: Our aunt applied for us as dependent children. We did upfront medicals in march this year (2014) and also recently (September 2014) the DNA test ( As requested by VO )

yes ashsher mine was about exactly 4 weeks. Am sure this week u will here something. At POE i was only asked if i had dependents or if i had any criminal record. Then i was given instructions on PR card timeline, and what i could do or not while i waited

Hey chipolopolo! Many many thanks on your continuous updates. I'm keeping my fingers crossed to definitely hear something this week. Does ecas stats change after dispatch or before dispatch?
