Wow! Thanks a lot! This is "clarification of the day". A short while back I called all my old bosses! ;D My wish: The system should clarify on some if these points and shouldn't allow to enter items that aren't of any use (like my example above)
But, please note that you do not remove work experience from work history (to personal history) which in turn would take your CRS below the ITA score on the day you were invited.

Now m confused. For my earlier employers (more than 7 years old) if I don't remove work experience from work history, the checklist says that I need to attach reference letter for each employer individually, that are there in the work history. I was thinking to move more than 7 years old employers from work history to personal history. And keep only my current employer (where m working for 7 years) in work history. By doing so only one ref letter would be needed that is from the present employer.

With this my overall experience would be more than 6 years and I'd receive maximum points under FSW.

How about this?

If you retain 6 years you are good to go and rest you can move to Personal History.

HI,

If I have held multiple designations in the same company, is it mandatory to show the promotion letters?
No, but your reference letter should indicate all the positions held.

Hi All,

I have a Canadian Phd and 3 years of postdoc experience outside Canada. I am planning apply under NOC 2115 since I don't have any teaching experience to apply under NOC 4011.

The problem is under the main duties mentioned in NOC 2115 there is only one duty for material scientists. Any one here got PR with such NOC? (NOC listed with one or two duties only). I am not sure how to write my reference letter based on this one duty. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Do I really need to mention Annual Salary in reference letter. Reference letter is mainly for Roles and responsibilities, and timelines with the company. For annual salary, anyways, we will attach our offer letter/joining letter or service certificate/experience certificate.

Kindly suggest.

Thanks.

I hello,

I worked for my company for 4 years...Generally speaking, I had the same set of duties and responsibilities. It just became harder and harder as the years went by :p

My salary of course increase from my first year. Example, my salary now is 50,000$ annual but when I started it was just 30,000$.

When I submit the reference letter does it need to indicate my starting salary? or can I just put my current salary?

Hi Stanlee and other experts in the forum,

I have a Masters Degree and my ICAS ECA recognizes it as Master's ( equivalence in Canada )
I did my Master of Science in Software Systems from 2010 to 2012 which is a Work integrated degree program from BITS, Pilani.
I was also working with my current employer during the above mentioned time period. What should I mention in the Personal History for the above time period?
Should it be Work or Study?

Personal history can have an overlapping, you should mention both.

Current annual salary is fine.
