I managed to get my current employer to give me an employment letter but it doesnt contain all the information requested by CIC unfortunately. Here are the documents i do have:
1. Employment letter. Title, dates, wages, "full time".
2. Offer letter with "40 hours per week" and detailed remuneration.
3. Visa petition letter(as i am currently sponsored), with detailed job description. This is signed by the previous hr manager who is no longer at the company. I have scanned the persons business card as well.

All three are on the company letterhead, with company info. Will this be enough for CIC?

Please let me know to whom the letter has to be addressed other than "To whom so ever concern". My previous employer refused to give letter in general and it has to addressed properly.

Hello Guys,

I studied in Canada from 2013 to 2014 (2 years). In this period, I did cashier job(part time) for a couple of employers.
After graduating, then in year 2015, I again did cashier job(full time).
Then In Jan. 2016 - Present, I'm working as Retail Store Supervisor(Noc 6211). So, I'm eligible for EE under CEC(Noc 6211).
I have not made EE profile yet. My question is:

1. Do I need to provide employer reference letters for my study period cashier jobs?
2. Do I need to provide employer reference letter for my full time cashier job in 2015(Jan to Dec)?

I know Cashier is Noc C. So, even mentioning it will not give me any point. But still....will CIC ask me for reference letters if I mention them in EE profile?
Someone told me that while making EE profile, only mention Retail Store Supervisor job experience. So, After ITA, CIC will ask me only 1 reference letter?. And then, later on, in personal history, I can mention past cashier jobs to fill in all time gaps. Is this true?. Please advice me Guys.
Thank you everyone.

i think all 3 letters combined together are good enough for employment letter; as they all are on Company letterhead.

I am the primary member but claiming points for my spouse (for IELTS and ECA). I added her work experience (in India) at profile creation. Do I need to submit her reference letter when there are no points for her work experience?

You can move your spouse's foreign work experience to his/her Personal History section.

You need to submit reference letter only for the jobs that you claim points for. Please note that you get CRS points for maximum 3 years of experience. However, if you are qualifying under FSW you also would be assessed on an FSW grid where you need to score minimum 67 out of 100 points to be eligible to apply. Under the FSW grid you get maximum points for 6 years of experience http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Post ITA you can mention the work experience for which you did not claim points under Personal History, for which you need not submit any documents/reference letter.

Wow! Thanks a lot! This is "clarification of the day". A short while back I called all my old bosses! ;D My wish: The system should clarify on some if these points and shouldn't allow to enter items that aren't of any use (like my example above)
