MyCIC in Background Processs but ECAS no changes

Hello,

I got a ghost email and when i logged into CIC to check the status my Backgound Check went from not Started to In Process but there has been no changes in ECAS
Medical recieved hasnt been updated in ECAS whereas in mycic it shows as Passed

Please let me know the next stage will i be getting PPR or anything else and how soon can i expect it as i have already passed 6 month timeframe.

ECAS can be quite glitchy, so I wouldn't be too concerned. By the way, you are not past the six-month threshold yet. You will only reach it on December 5, as far as I can tell.

The six-month period starts at the application, so Salseiro is right.
I have a similar timeline to yours, got the same email and change of the "background check" status, on september 28th.

I got request to send my Passport along with photographs

Am currently not in Canada and they have provided only canada address, have requested them to move from Ottawa to my home country embassy (New Delhi - India)

What is the next in process.... i guess just CoPR or is there anything else like Biometrics or anything.

that was quite fast! from June - October MID? wow! did you get it from CIC on MyCIC or Ghost email? Also whats with the address disappear issue? I did not get it.

I got email in mycic nothing has changed still it says Background - in process

I checked with my process agent and advised me to go to local VFS office and take the copy of the passport request along with photos and submit and should recieve visa stamping on my passport within 10 days.

I'm not in Canada either (France actually). Just to be clear, your visa advisor told you to go to the local Visa Supply office ? Just show up at the adress, papers in hand ? Tell me how that goes !

I will sure let you know and the advise was given to my by my Immigration agent and not by Visa Officer and she also mentioned that another candidate thru their agency got PPR and he went to vfs global and submitted his Passport and photos and got visa stamped within 10days.

So i am hoping it will work but in any which ways will update it here once i visit it on Monday.

Hello, I am really not getting it...then based on what you are calling it PPR since you did not receive PPR by CIC or ECAS status changed?

This has to be declared officially, either myCIC status change or via an official email from CIC.

I am very confused on both of your statement " received PPR"

Please can you clarify.

Sorry for the confusion but got PPR from official email from CIC but nothing has changed in myCIC.

The official email address thru which i've recieved the Request for Passport is cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca and i guess that their official email address.

Let me clarify the timeline :
Sep 28th : email from CIC, saying there was an update on MyCiC.
On MyCIC : Background check was now "in progress" instead of "Not Started yet"
On eCAS : Status was now "Decision Made"
Oct 13th : Received an email (not a mycic message, I mean an regular email) from cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca, subject READY FOR VISA - PRET POUR VISA, stating that in order to issue my COPR, they needed a copy of my passport and 2 photos (that's what I've been calling my PPR, like everybody else I believe).
I logged in on MyCIC and eCAS at that moment, and nothing had changed (still hasn't today).
Oct 14th : As requested in the email, since I am not currently not in Canada or in the US, I wrote to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca to ask them how to proceed.

From what I've read on this forum on other topics, I should expect another PPR, from the Paris office, with the French adress on it. I've also read that people abroad like me, who get this 2nd PPR, get through MyCIC, unlike the first PPR.
