Don't send your original marriage certificate -- just a photocopy.

I didn't really understand how many photos you were thinking of sending. I sent 50-60.

As for what date you can say you asked your wife to marry you, well.....when did you ask her? Just put that date.

Just write the truth. Like Judge Judy says, and I am a big fan of Judge Judy, if you tell the truth, you don't have to have a good memory. If you lie, you have to remember what you said so they don't catch you.

If you were to opt to have your file processed in Libya, according to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp#l they would send it to Paris. Spouses in Buffalo, 4-9 months, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp#west and spouses in Paris, 5-9 months, see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/international/05-fc-spouses.asp#europe so it doesn't seem to matter too much. That is after the 35 days it takes to approve sponsorshiop by the way.

Just a note: if it makes no difference to you, choose Buffalo over Paris. From everyone I've heard dealing with Paris, it's not a fun office to apply through, they are very unresponsive.

Thanks Leon...

ok we will say the truth , but do you think if we will say that thier family didnt know about the marriage it will seem like non genuine relation? and if we said her family knew about the marriage they will need proof and they will call them and ask ?

i will request to process my file in Buffalo, because if interview requested i can drive there easily,
but i cant visit Libya for interview easily.

anyway do you mean because i have file # before for my application to TRV,means should they process in Paris?
because i never thought about Paris except when you told me about it !!

Thanks

I prefer Buffalo because it is easier for me to contact or visit , i didn't think about Paris at all!!

thanks

I sent 100 pictures but I have been married for 5 1/2 years so I felt it was justified. Like the others posted.. It's like a story of your life. A lot can be seen through pictures especially when you describe them in the application and your additional information I think by seeing the picture relate to that story or situation will help them see that your relationship is genuine.

Thanks Boncuk,

so my relation now is about 3 years with 5 or 6 meetings,is it ok to send 50 pictures?

and where can i write stories as you said in additional information?where is it?

In the application IMM5490 It asks right at the end in a grey box "On a seperate piece of paper, provide any additional details of your current relationship that you believe would help to prove your relationship is genuine and continuing"
You could perhaps make it more personal then the questions they ask and explain your pictures and maybe include your own personal feelings for your spouse etc. The more personal it is the more someone can relate to you. That's just my advice anyway. 50 pictures sounds good its not a matter of the amount its the substance of the pictures. You and your spouse, together with family members , kids if there are any etc. :)

Thanks again Boncuk, i will work accordingly,

but all the picture we had, only me and her in our meetings,no family,no kids,
do you think this is not sufficient?

Well I'm not the one who will tell you it's insufficient as I'm sure there are many couples just like you. I think it helps a "bit" if you show other family members involved in your life if the opportunity is there. Shows your family is aware of your relationship etc. but there is no wrong and no right in pictures.. just show what you are proud of :) Also don't be afraid to have more intimate ones like hand holding or kissing etc. Some don't want to because they are private but I think those ones are great to show your true relationship :) Like I said no rules.. just go with which pictures you love.

Hello

I want to thank Rorita, she warned me about important think, and i need help !!

I am in USA with Student visa, and the one is issued in my passport will expire in June,
but it does not matter here if it will,
Because here to be legal the I-20(acceptance from school for studying) must be valid not the visa.

my question is (does the immigration office will care about my visa will expire in June which does not mean i am illegal, and the immigration will care about my I-20 only is USA government?

please i need help before i will send my file, because i don`t want them to send it to my home country and tell me to go there while i am studying here and applying from here?

Thanks

you are Welcome dentistusa
In fact I don't really know what is I-20, but I guess the better thing you do if you can try to contact CIC and take the correct answer from them concerning your stay, you know there is lot and lot and lot or rules and laws, so you better take the right answer from the source. and after my bad experience with the file transfere i don't recomended for anyone, but after all it is My bad experience, other people file were transfered in 1 month from Buffalo to damscus.
Good luck

Thank Rorita,

I-20 is the same thing in Canada called study permit.
so here it does not matter if the visa will expire soon or if it is already expired,
the I-20 must be valid and must be current student.

so will the canadian immigration office will deal like this?
